Oh my goodness, everyone... what happened to our daily votes? We're being slaughtered!
Second Pass has always had a magnificent daily voting position - we've never been anything but in the top three for the past two and a half years. Are we really going to let them start whipping us now?
It really is very easy, and it does a lot to make sure our site is out there and is visible to others. I know we're a little slow at the moment, and I know our community is currently on lock-down - but that doesn't mean we shouldn't take pride in our little Weyr and the things that goes on in it!
Please, take a moment to click the 'vote today' links (priority being The Weyr Directory) each day, it really only takes a moment and goes a long way to show your pride and love for our game! (And it makes Honey feel warm with delight knowing the site is so visibly loved by you guys!)

As per the usual, you will have from the 1[sup]st[/sup] of July through to the 31[sup]st[/sup] to get your thread started!
Since Honey has been adopting all the kitties in recent days, July is dedicated to animals! This event is pretty straightforward. Threads should involve animals to some degree, whether it be pampering a cat or dog, grooming a horse, or even bathing a dragon.
After all of those confessions, secrets, and surprise parenthood, a little fluff and relaxation is in order!
Go forth and frolic with the animals, my dears!

As per the usual, you will have from the 1[sup]st[/sup] of June through to the 30[sup]th[/sup] to get your thread started!
In honour of Tams’ birthday falling on May 28[sup]th[/sup] (a month in which another event was chosen), June will be based on her SN of Insulting Truths!
This month, characters are encouraged to spill their secrets whether they be their own or someone else’s, detrimental or beneficial to themselves or another, or even if they have a crush or some other confession they wish to get off their chest.
Given the topic of secrets, please communicate with each other to avoid RL discomfort and potential mucking up a plot because said secret shouldn’t have been known and/or told. It should be the characters that are in for a surprise and perhaps a little extra squirming, not the players.
A reminder to those of you that took part in the Thread Roulette you are encouraged to use this event for thread prompts, if you wish!

In celebration of Mother's Day (at least in some parts of the world!) this month will be dedicated to that wonderful day were we are supposed to spoil our mummies and love them endlessly. As with previous Monthly Events, you will have from the 1[sup]st[/sup] to the 31[sup]st[/sup] of May to get your threads started.
As mentioned, this month our topic is based around Mother's Day - or more specifically, at least in regards to Second Pass - any parent! So, you could thread an awkward 'Yo, you're my dad' (Yes, R'nd, we're looking at you!) or maybe your character finds out she's pregnant, or perhaps you just have a family day out.
Those of you that took part in the Thread Roulette are encouraged to use this for thread prompts, if you should so wish!

Hey hey guys! A part of this month's fun and games is going to be the daily voting! Participating is simple: Just vote daily for each of the Daily Vote sites! (Remember to abide by the Daily Vote rules; eg, no Proxy use).
While we encourage voting on the two TopSites, they are harder to judge against, so we will only be using the two Weyr Topsites this month!

A new month is upon us! Besides voting daily, we have come up with yet another RP scenario to prompt those characters into action! Once again, you will have from the 1[sup]st[/sup] of April through to the 30[sup]th[/sup] to get your post up!
This month, our topic is based around April Fools! Generally speaking, April Fools is about good natured pranking, and having a good time... but it looks like some of those within our population missed that memo! This month is all about making people squirm! Remember all those awkward hook ups last month? Oh, you were trying to forget about that? Well, that may just be too bad! This month is all about making other characters squirm, in whatever way desirable!

Welcome to the month of March!
In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, we are going to be offering up new and exciting ways to torture your characters - and get an award for it! Participation is entirely optional, but definitely encouraged. Because we're on the ball this month, you have from March 1st to March 31st to get your threads happening. You can post with LPCs or PCs to claim an award, but you must post here on this thread in order to claim them - we're not going to chase you down!
So what exactly is this month's event? Well, since St. Patrick's Day includes a lot of alcohol consumption, ad we all make amazing decisions when we're drunk... In order to qualify for this month's award, you need to thread your character hooking up with someone incredibly unlikely, either because they never anticipated sleeping with them, or because that damned dragon flew... Whatever! The more awkward and hilarious to read, the better!
Absolutely no smut is required but no one will lie; we love that stuff!
So roll on out the awkward, and lets get busy!
Event Ends: March 31st, 2014 @ 23:59 PM Cbox time.
Threads must be created between March 01, 2014 and March 31, 2014 to qualify.
Smut is no longer required to be posted in a specific board. Simply mark the beginning of the thread with the [NSFW] tag and you're good to go. Example title: [NSFW] Getting Jiggy [CharacterName]

To participate!
Valentine doesn't exist on Pern, but that doesn't mean we can't have some fun!
Participation is simple! Thread your character going out of their way to do something nice for someone else's!
It doesn't need to be anything in particular! Remembering that Katila recently got flattened, there are plent of opportunities to do little things to make other characters feel a little less miserable about it all!
Threads will need to be created specifically to qualify for the event; current threads are not qualified. Sorry!
You can write a solo, or you can participate in a thread with someone else; PCs, LPCs and the use of NPCs are all applicable!
Everyone who takes part will receive an event-specific badge on their OOC account.
PCs that take part will also be entitled to their own event badge!
Those of you that choose to thread with another member will also be entitled to 25 marks!
If you have chosen to participate, please post the following information so I can reward you!

Please only one post per player, and include all threads within that post.

Page Selection

Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! Thistle!
