Casa barely noticed Ambrya suddenly laughing; not because she wasn’t paying attention but because she was used to the antics of dragons and the responses their riders had to them. Growing up around dragons and their riders had prepared Casa for such things as random words, expressions, swearing or laughter. It was just something that came with being bonded to a dragon or being around those who were. She herself was notorious for responding to Thallyath without warning whomever she was around, so she took no offence when others did the same thing.
“That’s pretty cool,” Casa allowed, though she bulked at the idea of Ambrya making Thallyath a pretty couch, almost as much as she bulked at the idea of forcing herself to make it! “That’s okay,” she smiled, “I’d rather you spoil your own dragon than mine, who is far too entitled as it is.” She grinned, clearly teasing her dragon and giving permission for Ambrya to laugh at it if she wanted to. Casa knew some people were pretty jealous about the teasing of their dragons; some people, she’d found, took great offence if you teased them about their dragon. She could be, granted – Only she was allowed to call Thallyath names and pick on her relentlessly – but if she initiated it with someone else, Casa didn’t mind them finding her teasing of her dragon funny!
Casa scrunched her nose up slightly. “I’m not sure I could ever find the patience for such things,” she said honestly. “I applaud those who can, but its just not something I enjoy, you know?” Of course, there wasn’t a lot about being a godlier that Casa enjoyed; it was all so dull. Paperwork and politics and girly Lady stuff. Casa would rather be getting dirty and causing mayhem like the other dragonriders go to do! She could feel Thallayth sighing in frustration at her thoughts, but Casa ignored her dragon and instead grinned at Ambrya. “Are you free at all?” She asked, waving a hand vaguely to indicate the upcoming days, not just tomorrow or at the present time. “We could go down to the beach,” she smiled, “Maybe Tesamyth could coax Thallyath into the water and relaxing,” she laughed again. Her dragon tended to sit like a princess and watch over Casa, apparently worried her rider would drown or get eaten by a water-dragon. Whatever those were.
