I'shan felt a wave of relief wash over him as that familiar, playful voice reached his ears. He looked eagerly to the door his smiling face greeting C'dhin as he entered. "As if I would ever complain about free food!" I'shan preened excitedly. He started to rise to his feet, but Ilveriath cautiously reminded him that he shouldn't. It was frustrating, but I'shan was too pleased to have company to really be frustrated. He just wriggled a little bit, gleefully trying to contain his excitement. "It's about time, you know! How long as it been since you came to visit me? I'm going to waste away in here, all alone..."
He winked. He knew it hadn't really been that long. C'dhin had been dutiful in his visits, but it was fun to be dramatic. It also revealed a little bit of the bluerider's desperation. He hated being alone, and no matter how often his friends visited, he would continue to feel trapped and bored until he finally had his mobility back. Joking about it made him feel a little better, though.
Afterwards, I'shan glanced around the largely empty room and shrugged. "It's okay. Healer said I'm well enough to go between. Well, not all the time..but enough that I can go to Telgar once the wing is reassigned." How badly he wanted to go! It would be so exciting! He would miss the warm weather and the lovely landscapes, but he could always come and visit. It would be nice to meet new people, too. He'd heard that the northerners were slowly warming up to the dragonriders' return! The young ones, in any case, and that was all they needed! He would be so proud to show Ilveriath off to the hold children. Maybe he would even be allowed to search again...for real this time! His eyes flickered in excitement and the leaned closed to C'dhin. "How about you? Other than cooking something that smells delicious..."
