Zelina looked to the woman that had spoken to her, and then, dismayed by the upside-down vantage point, she sat up and turned around. A chore seemed an enticing idea, if it would be a chore that brought her to B’jin. As she was considering this, she was asked why she was so intent on escaping, and Zelina grinned a true grin before she spoke.
“It’s a secret.” She said, and motioned for the lady to come closer so she could whisper it to her. She didn’t want all the commotion it would cause if she said it out loud, and besides, she was probably the only girl that thought it was a good idea to ask to stand for a blue. It definably wasn’t considered good for a girl to ride even a green, like her mother did. A blue would surely cause a lot of ruckus, yet, Zelina felt in her heart that this is what she should do, that even if she asked to stand for a gold that surely a blue would choose her. Even Chresaith seemed to agree, to her father’s dismay, and her mother’s worry. Not that they didn’t show Zelina support, though. Zelina was simply smart enough to read the worried looks exchanged when they thought she wasn’t looking.
As she waited for the lady to move closer, Zelina was surprised to have a little gold land on her shoulder, and was happy to administer the petting the little flit asked for. Zelina liked the little thing enough, but her mind was on her mission. The petting was more of a action not really thought out, though her fingers went right for the little gold’s eye ridges, as if she might be a dragon and actually like being petted there. Zelina didn’t really know if she did or didn’t, it just seemed right since she looked like a miniature, less intelligent dragon. A smile came to her face once again, as she imagined herself scratching the eye ridges of a freshly hatched blue that had chosen her, only to quickly toss her daydream aside, as she did need to see if the lady was going to help her.
