Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! M’ris watched as Casa seemed to seriously consider what he had proposed. She seemed to actually want it bad enough to agree to his stipulations and was trying to think of someone they might both agree on. He was honestly surprised by it, having assumed she’d have a hissy fit for not getting her way. He had been told she was a rather spirited girl when she was younger and Impressing hadn’t changed that much or given her much dedication to her tasks. In truth, he often viewed her like a firelizard; pretty to look at and sometimes useful for minor purposes like delivering letters, but nothing else going for them.
Just as he was starting to think Casa wasn’t taking it seriously but instead trying to find a way to get her full request after all, she tossed out a name. He frowned slightly at her, not that he didn’t know K’tir, but knew him a bit too well and wondered if Casa did as well. M’ris had ended up in bed with the brownrider several years ago after a drunken night of revelry – probably for a Hatching—and realised that he actually enjoyed being with another man and ended up having secret hook ups with K’tir until Ista Weyr opened. M’ris had put an end to visiting the brownrider when Ameris started to become someone he wanted more in his life and found he didn’t want to do stupid things that might upset her.
It was doubtful Casa knew K’tir in such a way given the gossip said she was with T’ryn and he had seem for himself the way they held hands and the way he looked at her. It was a combination of sweet and disgusting. Besides, K’tir was rather boring outside of sex, reading or staying just outside of the fun. From what he noticed anyway but M’ris could admit he didn’t and couldn’t watch everyone at all times. Since K’tir was older than all those on the list and had been a dragonrider for… had it really been twelve years since the first Hatching since the plague? Didn’t that just add to his feeling old lately?
“Brownrider K’tir fits my requirements,” M’ris finally agreed, especially when he realised Ghaeth was chatty and had the potential to rat them all out if K’tir did help them cover up anything. He leaned back in his chair as he considered a potential issue that suddenly sprang to mind. Some of the listed were bronzeriders and while they didn’t hold any rank outside of what their dragon made them, some would still refuse to take orders from a brownrider in charge of the group. “I’ll speak with K’tir on what I expect him to do on the trip – which mostly comes down to keeping everyone alive and out of trouble. However, I want you to let everyone know that despite him being a brownrider, he is acting on my orders and will outrank everyone on this little adventure. Is that clear?” He didn’t expect any trouble out of T’ryn or even N’mor if he knew K’tir was acting in the Weyrleader’s place as their guardian but M’ris didn’t want to give any anger a chance to sprout.
