“I think company could be arranged,” B’jin teased, a happy smile pulling up the corners of his lips. He generally enjoyed bathing alone, finding it relaxing and a good place to unwind from a long day, but he was also not about to miss the opportunity of playing in the water with his favourite (if only) lover! Grinning at the kiss to his nose, B’jin nuzzled against R’nd’s neck as the bluerider took the time to consider his question more thoroughly.
B’jin laughed softly. “You may not be their favourite when we bring our bedding down for a wash,” the statement ended with a grimace on the man’s face, displeased himself with the idea of the response their oil soaked blankets would receive. Of course, everyone would know Larrikith had flown – it was never a secret when a girl took to the skies – so they’d know that that would be the reason behind the oily bedding, but still! B’jin pouted.
“You’re welcome to Indivara today,” B’jin grumbled, flopping back on the bed with a groan. The girl was impossible, even at the best of times, and B’jin found educating her to be a handful. It wasn’t that she was stupid – quite the opposite, she seemed to literally absorb the information he presented her with – but that was the problem of itself. He found keeping up with her instant thirst for knowledge to be exhausting. It didn’t help that she was an arrogant little tart either. It was bad enough that he had Larrikith living in his head, but to be paired with Indivara! B’jin was quite sure they planned their torture. His only relief came from the sturdy blue dragon Indivara had Impressed, which seemed to mellow out the attacks of the two females.
Leaning up on his elbows, B’jin considered R’nd’s question for a moment, then smiled. “I want to visit Quennell, and I need to find Talian. We haven’t had a chance to catch up in forever!” The dramatic emphasis was played down with the gentle smile. While B’jin was uncomfortable around the brown dragon his adopted son had Impressed, his affection for the boy hadn’t changed and he missed him when they went too long without catching up. Quennell, on the other hand, was an old face B’jin took to visiting whenever he could; the old healer was showing his age and B’jin loved him dearly, and getting to catch up on the past two decades was something the greenrider enjoyed.
