737.07.22 | Morning Glory - B'jin - 27.Nov.16

Waking up early was something B’jin didn’t particularly enjoy, so waking up at 4.30 in the morning, before the first ray of sunshine was anywhere near the horizon, was asking a lot of the greenrider. It wasn’t that anyone expected him to be up at that hour – quite the opposite, in fact, for the greenrider had no Weyrlings to babysit and his own dragon was fast asleep where she was curled up with Ayyonth. B’jin, not wanting to wake up R’nd, had rolled out of bed and paced around the bluerider’s weyr on bare feet, unsure why he felt like his skin was crawling, making him feel antsy and out of sorts.

Dressing silently, B’jin made his way down to the kitchens in the hopes that there would be something warm there to fill his belly with, a plan that worked until he got within distance of the kitchens, and the smell made his belly roll and tumble, leaving the greenrider feeling suddenly queasy. B’jin grimaced, uncomfortable, and turned tail to make his way back to the weyr he shared with R’nd. He re-entered, and closed the door as quietly as he could. Frustrated and uncomfortable, B’jin ran his hands through his hair (which was getting quite shaggy) and paced around the main living area of the weyr, his movements quiet but jerky with agitation.

A low rumble, and a jaw cracking yawn was followed by the sensation of Larrikith’s conscious mind mixing with his own, and B’jin felt his shoulders relax slightly as he made his way out into the awning where the dragons were settled, smiling tiredly at the green dragon who crooned a gentle greeting to him in return. Striding up to her, B’jin caressed her eyeridge gently, leaning against the side of her face as he cuddled with the dragon. Inspired by the moment, B’jin left Larrikith to fetch one of the buckets of oil kept on the other side of the awning, lugging it back towards the green who had crept far enough away from Ayyonth to be easily accessed by B’jin.

The greenrider stripped off all but his pants, and dropped the large rag he used to oil Larrikith with in the bucket, before slopping it against her side. The scent of lavender quickly filled the weyr, with the oil dripping everywhere and B’jin soaked in the stuff to his elbows, stains soaking into his pants as he shuffled around Larrikith in an effort to maintain her hide. With the heady scent of lavender causing him to relax, B’jin didn’t notice the way Larrikith was glowing brighter with each passing moment; he didn’t notice when Ayyonth woke up and began to leer at his green; he didn’t notice the way she began to preen and rumble to herself.

And then he couldn’t help but notice as Larrikith reared up, filling the awning with green; she hissed at Ayyonth before throwing herself out the opening and dropping through the sky, a screech of challenge echoing through the cool morning air. B’jin stood on the ledge, dripping oil and staring after his dragon in surprise ebfore the lust began to flow through his veins, filling him with the same wonton need as his dragon, and B’jin turned towards the archway that lead into the weyr, staring lustily at R’nd as he made his way towards the bluerider, not even considering that any other dragon would dare to win Larrikith.

Re: Morning Glory [R'nd] - R'nd - 28.Nov.16

Get up, R’nd, Ayyonth hissed the command as he prepared to give chase to his mossy green beauty. R’nd grumbled something about shutting up and it being far too early for talkative dragons and Ayyonth gave his rider a mental eye roll. He was mated to the laziest man! Fine. Stay in bed and get your precious beauty sleep. Someone else can chase Larrikith today.

That was all the motivation R’nd needed as he came fully to consciousness and was slammed with Ayyonth’s lust soon after. His dragon was not kidding around and he appreciated that. He remembered all of the times in the past when they had given chase but never won and B’jin didn’t even know he existed – something R’nd’s ego still couldn’t comprehend and liked to forget about – but since their first victory there had only been a couple of hiccups along the way to an otherwise wonderful track record. R’nd wasn’t about to be the cause of missing this flight!

Ayyonth waited for Larrikith’s challenge and stood momentarily in awe as she made her glorious exit from their home before quickly taking off after her. No one else was worthy of a victory with Larrikith and Ayyonth was ready to prove it yet again, especially now that he had R’nd on board with the idea.

R’nd, for his part, hadn’t bothered with clothing since he was optimistic in losing it all soon anyway, had just left the bedroom when he spotted B’jin across the room. He stood there, doing his best to maintain some level of control as he took in the man he admired on a daily basis. He realized that while some of it was due to his own doing, Ayyonth had been a major factor in most of the early interactions between the men and R’nd sent his gratitude to his dragon, encouraging the blue to enjoy himself as he strode across the room to B’jin to do the same.

Re: Morning Glory [R'nd] - B'jin - 03.Dec.16

Since mating to Ayyonth, Larrikith had noted a decrease in the number of dragons that gave chase to her; since moving North and everyone splitting up between the Weyrs, the green now found that those that gave chase were fewer than ever before. It wasn’t something that would worry her, when she wasn’t crazy with lust, but in that moment the lack of competitors was a huge insult to the egotistical little dragon. The fact that Ayyonth was at the head of the group and hot on her tail was the only thing soothing Larrikith’s metaphorical feathers.

With oil dripping from his fingertips, B’jin blinked up at R’nd as the bluerider joined him, tilting his head and accepting the kiss that came his way. Oily fingertips travelled up R’nd’s arms and around his neck, the greenrider unaware of the mess he was making as he gave himself up to the lust of his dragon and his love for R’nd; Larrikith’s flights had gone from being something B’jin loathed to something the man found both enjoyable and exciting – especially since he was almost always guaranteed of waking up with R’nd. Occasionally the winner was someone else, such as Valerian or D’hys, but B’jin could cope with those two, when he had to.

They’d somehow made it back into bed, was B’jin’s first conscious and amused thought, the greenrider squirming slightly as he blinked his eyes open, frowning up at the ceiling before glancing over at R’nd. The bluerider’s hair was slick with oil and B’jin was startled into a soft laugh at the way the well-loved locks were sticking out, all shiny and damp. Reaching out, B’jin ran his fingers through R’nd’s hair, and patted it down slightly, so the bluerider looked less like he’d been struck by lightning. Pulling his weight up so he was resting on an elbow, B’jin smiled sheepishly down at R’nd.

“You look better oiled than Larrikith, love.”

At her name, B’jin felt Larrikith stir contentedly at the edge of his mind, and he encouraged her to go back to sleep, smiling when he felt her agreement as she cuddled closer to Ayyonth with a lick to the blue dragon’s cheek. Turning his attention back to R’nd, B’jin traced his finger from between R’nd’s eyerbows down the slope of his nose, then tapped him playfully on the lips with a gentle flick of his finger.

“We got oil stains all over the bedding.” B’jin sighed, conveniently ignoring the fact that he was solely responsible for any oil that had made it from the awning to the bedroom; R’nd was as much a victim as the bedding and looked just as much the short comer with his coating of oil. B’jin didn’t think R’dn would mind – not really. He possibly wouldn’t be particularly excited, but the greenrider knew he wouldn’t be scolded for it. At least, not with any heat!

Grinning, and in a much better mood than when he had woken up, B’jin leaned down to give R’nd a light kiss to the lips.

Re: Morning Glory [R'nd] - R'nd - 03.Dec.16

The thought of losing, especially while they were both in the same location, never crossed R’nd’s mind before getting lost in the flight lust and it wasn’t something he worried about either when he felt the bed shift. He was beyond confident in who he would find beside him and not just because of Ayyonth’s satisfaction through their bond. It was pure confidence and faith that it would all work out as it should that had him smiling before B’jin came into view. As he patiently waited through B’jin playing with his hair, R’nd had to wonder what it was like for a greenrider or goldrider after a flight. He had a small taste of it when he lost and didn’t know who he had tumbled into bed with but there had to be a greater fear and perhaps even dread or hope for a rider of a female dragon. While he wasn’t a colourist and had great respect for all riders, R’nd was glad he had mated to a blue dragon and didn’t have to go through that on a regular basis.

At the comment about being oiled up, R’nd finally glanced down at his body and chuckled. He hadn’t even noticed he was coated in the lavender-scented substance but he didn’t mind. Although, he did have to wonder if that was why B’jin was playing with his hair. That almost made him frown but he held off that urge as well as the one that wanted him to pat at his head and check out what had been done to his hair. It wasn’t anything that a bath couldn’t fix and it wasn’t anything that couldn’t wait until later in the day. “Perhaps I should keep this look and see what others think of it,” he teased B’jin with a smile and quirk of his brow to imply he wanted to see if anyone else found his toned oiled body as appealing.

“I think the bedding can be ignored a bit longer. I’d hate to put a fresh set on only to get them oily as well,” R’nd pulled B’jin back down beside him after the light kiss ended, happily ignoring the laundry that was nowhere near the top of the list of priorities for the remainder of the morning. Lounging in bed with his lover took up at least the top three spots on that list.

As he ran a hand through B’jin’s hair, mentally observing how long it was getting, R’nd’s gaze landed on the painting of Ayyonth and Larrikith B’jin had painted before they really even had a true relationship. “This morning started out much like that of the first flight we had together. Ayyonth had to wake me up, informing me Larrikith was flying both times. We were both always interested in giving chase to you two.” If Ayyonth hadn’t woken him up that day now so long ago, R’nd wondered if he would have ended up with B’jin. Without that flight putting him on the greenrider’s radar and giving R’nd a bit of encouragement, he may not have approached B’jin when the man was being shunned by the Weyr for some silly punishment. Maybe they would have still ended up together but it may have been further down the line and so many wonderful moments would have been missed out on.

Re: Morning Glory [R'nd] - B'jin - 29.Dec.16

B’jin gave a mischievous giggle. “I’m fairly sure your appearance would bring about some interesting gossip about our bedroom habits.” The greenrider would probably die of embarrassment at such talk, but in the safety of the bedroom and quite sure R’nd would be bathing before he was socialising was a solid reassurance to the greenrider. He doubted anyone would see R’nd, all oiled up as he was, simply because he found R’nd to be far too self-conscious of his appearance.

Nuzzling against R’nd when the bluerider pulled him down, the B’jin grinned impishly, completely unworried about the laundry and in no hurry to get dressed himself. “Bathe before you put too many clothes on,” he chirped, amused. “You’ll ruin them with all the oil.” Brown eyes glittered in amusement, the greenrider completely unapologetic about the state he had bestowed bed and partner in. Really, if anyone was to blame, it was Larrikith and her need to fly when B’jin had been trying to be a good and loving mate to his dragon by oiling her!

Laughter spilled from B’jin’s lips as R’nd spoke. “Is that so?” He asked, highly amused  both by the fact that Ayyonth was keeping R’nd up to date on the antics of Larrikith, as well as the little tidbit of his lover’s history he hadn’t been aware of (or had forgotten about, which was also likely). “Remind me to thank the blue beast,” he teased, kissing R’nd lightly on the cheek after he spoke; B’jin didn’t like to think about where the pair of them would be without their interfering winged beasts. While their relationship had grown over the years, they were no less prone to falling outs (the firelizard fiasco was something B’jin would never forget) but the studious strength of the dragons had always managed to help put things right. Their own special green and blue fan club.

“Besides a bath,” B’jin grinned, arching an eyebrow at R’nd, “What’s on today’s agenda?” Sometimes it was hard to keep track of what was going on each day, and B’jin found it more so difficult since the splitting of the dragonriders across the planet. Wings hadn’t really been formed up since the split (well, as far as B’jin was aware. But he was an off-duty Weyrlingmaster and exempt from Wings) so most of the riders seemed to just… be wherever they wanted. Prime example, his son!

Re: Morning Glory [R'nd] - R'nd - 02.Jan.17

“I suspect that is one thing Ayyonth won’t forget!” R’nd laughed at B’jin wanting a reminder to thank the blue dragon. Ayyonth wasn’t above receiving praise and gratitude and would certainly appreciate having it coming from the greenrider. Given the smugness he felt through their bond, R’nd knew Ayyonth was already well aware of their conversation but was oddly being silent on the matter, likely enjoying time with his loved one as well. R’nd supposed if one dragon was due some praise and words of thanks, he supposed the other should be as well and made a note to chat with Larrikith later as well. Those two had been partners in crime from the get-go and R’nd held no doubts that the dragons were both working on the same goals. Every time Ayyonth had chided or goaded him, Larrikith had likely been doing the same to B’jin. They really lucked out with their mates and the willingness to help.

“Well, that depends on if I have company or not in that bath,” R’nd teased with his own arch of a brow. If he was sentenced to bathe alone, then it’d be a relaxing soak before starting the day properly. However, if he had a particular greenrider in the tub beside him, then hands would likely not be kept to themselves as the morning’s activities continued into a new location. After placing a light kiss to B’jin’s nose, R’nd thought a bit more seriously about the question and whether or not he had made plans or commitments he had to keep that day.

“I might stop in to the kitchens and laundry area in a bit. Check up on my favourite ladies,” R’nd had an addiction to sweets and often wandered by the kitchen at various points in the day to see what he could snag. In exchange, he always offered to move any heavy items or help with little tasks. The same went for the talented ladies that mended his clothing. He knew the areas he fell short in but also was quite aware of what he was capable of doing; even if it was pulling up a chair and chatting for a bit. Some of the workers always seemed lonely to him and R’nd couldn’t leave without attempting to be a bright point in their day and make them feel special.

“I think I’ll see what Shel’s up to and if you’re not going to steal Indivara all day, I may pop in for a visit with her as well.” I’shan was flighty and loved socializing as much as he did so R’nd sometimes found it hard to catch up with one of his best friends, but they usually managed to collide and settle down for a bit of catching up and good laughs. Indivara, on the other hand, didn’t always want to be found. She was an odd one and R’nd could still remember how she was originally a packaged deal when he became friends with Kerrin. Eventually the young girl found her groove in their mix of friends and R’nd saw her as a little sister he wanted to look out for and someone he could enjoy some conversations with. Lately, he had become curious about her training with B’jin and if she was still enjoying it and how she was being treated by the other dragonriders. If anyone could handle being one of the rare female blueriders, it was Indivara, but R’nd still cared and worried a bit.

R’nd gave the day another moment’s thought and decided he definitely wasn’t forgetting family commitments or anything asked of him by a superior and gave a small nod to himself before smiling at B’jin. “So I guess I’m just being a social butterfly today. What about you?” He knew the greenrider didn’t have any classes to teach in preparing the Candidates on Standing and, hopefully, Impressing, but that never stopped the man from other duties he enjoyed that would also keep him busy.

RE: 737.07.22 | Morning Glory - B'jin - 17.Jun.17

“I think company could be arranged,” B’jin teased, a happy smile pulling up the corners of his lips. He generally enjoyed bathing alone, finding it relaxing and a good place to unwind from a long day, but he was also not about to miss the opportunity of playing in the water with his favourite (if only) lover! Grinning at the kiss to his nose, B’jin nuzzled against R’nd’s neck as the bluerider took the time to consider his question more thoroughly.

B’jin laughed softly. “You may not be their favourite when we bring our bedding down for a wash,” the statement ended with a grimace on the man’s face, displeased himself with the idea of the response their oil soaked blankets would receive. Of course, everyone would know Larrikith had flown – it was never a secret when a girl took to the skies – so they’d know that that would be the reason behind the oily bedding, but still! B’jin pouted.

“You’re welcome to Indivara today,” B’jin grumbled, flopping back on the bed with a groan. The girl was impossible, even at the best of times, and B’jin found educating her to be a handful. It wasn’t that she was stupid – quite the opposite, she seemed to literally absorb the information he presented her with – but that was the problem of itself. He found keeping up with her instant thirst for knowledge to be exhausting. It didn’t help that she was an arrogant little tart either. It was bad enough that he had Larrikith living in his head, but to be paired with Indivara! B’jin was quite sure they planned their torture. His only relief came from the sturdy blue dragon Indivara had Impressed, which seemed to mellow out the attacks of the two females.

Leaning up on his elbows, B’jin considered R’nd’s question for a moment, then smiled. “I want to visit Quennell, and I need to find Talian. We haven’t had a chance to catch up in forever!” The dramatic emphasis was played down with the gentle smile. While B’jin was uncomfortable around the brown dragon his adopted son had Impressed, his affection for the boy hadn’t changed and he missed him when they went too long without catching up. Quennell, on the other hand, was an old face B’jin took to visiting whenever he could; the old healer was showing his age and B’jin loved him dearly, and getting to catch up on the past two decades was something the greenrider enjoyed.

RE: 737.07.22 | Morning Glory - R'nd - 29.Jun.17

R'nd gave a light chuckle at B'jin's reaction to the mentioning of Indivara. She really wasn't that bad, though he could admit that it took a bit of time to get used to her boisterous personality. Still, he was impressed with how well they got along, or rather, how long B'jin was able to put up with Indivara at any given time before calling an end to their lessons for the day. It reminded him of the class he assisted with that T’bia was in. His poor lover just couldn’t handle the level of questions T’bia constantly bombarded him with and before B’jin could have a meltdown, the young blue weyrling was passed onto the far more social and, at least in that situation, capable bluerider.

While it was obvious B’jin was playfully exaggerating how long it had been since he last saw Talian, R’nd knew he was actually guilty of not seeing the younger man as much as he could. It wasn’t that he went out of his way to avoid Talian and he certainly didn’t hate the guy; it was just a bit obvious that he still made Talian a bit uncomfortable and they didn’t have much in common.

R’nd grinned as he pushed B’jin back down and started to crawl over top of the greenrider, placing another quick kiss on tempting lips, “look at you being just as social. I think I’m becoming a bad influence on you.” He finished with a light teasing chuckle as he rolled out of the bed, coming to stand beside it to inspect the state of his linens.

B’jin was definitely right; the ladies down in the laundry area weren’t going to like him much today. He’d have to make it up to them with some fun stories, though he never gave them what they wanted to hear. R’nd was an open book and could talk about nearly anything but he never went into any sort of details about his escapades in bed knowing it wasn’t polite or fair to his lovers. If they wanted to talk about him and his amazing skills, he was all for it but he personally liked leaving people wanting for more.

“I think I better get into the bath before taking the sheets down. I’ll figure out the rest of the day’s order later,” plans were nice, but having the leeway to adjust them as the day wore on was even better. He extended his hand in offer to help B’jin up.
