“No.”
Z’ia stood up slowly, easily untangling himself from Rhaedalyn whom, he guessed, was too shocked by his statement to actually stop him from putting some space between them. The green of Z’ia’s eyes darkened, his expression artfully constructed to contain a look of heartbreak, though the horror that was littered across his features was not false, either. She was pregnant!? Some creatures should not reproduce and Z’ia was quite certain that Rhaedalyn was definitely one of those! That she was trying to peg it on him was just hilarious.
“Not possible,” Z’ia continued, shaking his head so that his dark curls bounced around his head and long lashes fluttered over his eyes, lips pursed into a line between each word. “I—“ Z’ia swallowed, apparently struggling for words as his hands wavered around in front of him in an expression of his discomfort. “I can’t—” he faltered to a halt again, shoving both hands into his hair with splayed fingers and pacing back and forth the length of the room. Plague screeched, flaring her wings and hissing at Rhaedalyn, confused by Z’ia’s mingling glee and horror. The little bluerider was taking great care to block Aveleth from his emotions – he could not afford the dragon to freak out on him out of nowhere – but he was less careful about manipulating what Plague was receiving; besides, she was right there with him.
“Not possible!” he repeated, swirling around suddenly to point a finger directly at Rhaedalyn’s chest, a heavy scowl on his face and eyes swimming with tears that didn’t waste any time at all in tumbling down flushed cheeks on an otherwise bloodless face. How could she be so heartless?! “Out,” it came out a barely audible whisper, then, “Out!” a hoarse growl, and he flung one hand towards the door, letting enough of his emotions leak through to Aveleth that the dragon stopped playing and winked between to appear above the roof, landing with a scrabble of claws and making soft noises of distress.
“Out,” Z’ia repeated, the word drowning in a sob.

Unless stated otherwise, Aveleth never speaks to anyone but Z'ia
