Sanderon saw the moment when I'shan confronted his dragon. With a glaring hiss, the man obviously shared words with his blue. What they might be, Sanderon had no clue. What he did know was what Ilveriath had told him. He kept his anger in check and just waited. His meal was left alone on his lap as he watched the silent exchange.
When I'shan turned to him Sanderon noticed that the man kept eye contact. Despite the fact that it looked a little forced, he thought it was a good sign that the man would not avoid this subject now. What he heard the man say at first caused him to shake his head.
"I don't hate you for that. You aren't the one that tortured my flesh." He wanted to add that I'shan was the one that had tortured his heart but he left it alone. What was done, was done.
Listening as I'shan continued, Sanderon's eyes remained narrow and he found himself shaking his head very slowly. When the man was finished, he ignored the 'I'm sorry' part and went straight to the heart of the matter without mercy. Laying it straight out in all of its horrible truth, he spoke.
"I'shan, he raped you, gave you a compliment and then claimed you for his own. There is no misunderstanding possible with that. Don't you see? Of course N'gelt likes you. You probably never tell him no."
Sanderon was no longer hungry. This whole thing just made him sick.
Turning his gaze away from I'shan, he looked first to Ronarth playing in the grass and then to Ilveriath. To the blue he thought, How can I help?
