His calloused hand gripped I'shan's soft one. He was pleased that at least the man had a firm grip. That was good. But would he allow Sanderon to leave his prison, if only for one meal? He saw the rider hesitate and prepared himself to accept a 'no' for an answer.
When the answer finally came, Sanderon had to pause and replay what he had just heard. He did not ask for confirmation. He simply pulled on the shirt he was currently holding and then moved to the door. He paused at the door and looked back just to double check. He would hate to have been tricked. When no call came for him to stop, he nodded his head just slightly in thanks and then reached out and opened the door.
It was within his ability right now to slam the door in I'shan's face and lock the man in. This thought even crossed his mind but it was dismissed quickly. He had no intention of doing such a thing. He would have a few weeks earlier without a second thought. But things had changed. He had changed.
For a moment he was uncertain which way to turn. He had been unconscious when brought in. But remembering the numerous times he had heard I'shan's footsteps, he turned in the direction they always seemed to come from. Following the path the rider had taken, Sanderon had to squint and sheild his eyes quickly when the sunshine suddenly hit his face through a window.
He heard I'shan's footsteps behind him and so after a short pause, he kept his eyes narrowed and his hand shading them and headed towards the outdoors. Opening the main door he took a deep breath of the fresh air and felt the breeze on his skin. Lowering his hand, he blinked several times and then stepped outside carefully.
"Ilveriath, Ronarth... You are well?" He greeted the blue and bronze that he saw were nearby. Turning back to I'shan when the man joined him, he added. "Thank you. It feels good to be outside again."
