As Charath lay beside him, her wings touching him he gave a soft croon and lowered his wings down completely. He turned contented eyes upon her as she spoke, giving a little huff of amusement. I am not sure if M'bal will understand. Speed is not his ally at the moment. He let his mind partially wander into his rider's, lazily investigating the incoherrant mess it was in while still listening to Charath. That's right, he's a multitasker.
He does? That's a strange thing to enjoy. Why does he enjoy that? He asked curiously. M'bal had probably mentioned and expressed disdain at the sadistic people that lived in the Weyr before, but he didn't remember. Honestly it just confused the innocent Bronze. Everyone should be happy, if a little, okay, a lot, intoxicated.
Apparently, as Erisi first spoke, M'bal's mind had some kind of dubbing feature in action, as he heard 'Erisi, rider of Gold Charath' instead. Then again, when he continued to elaborate and weight his words, this time adding a 'fe' prefix to the word 'male'. The rest of the sentence was garbled and confusing, so he brushed it off as flight-inspired gibberish.
"Why are you specifying that you're a woman? Men don't ride Gold." M'bal said somewhat dismissively. He wasn't stupid. Just... heavily inebriated. He thought on the name for a little while. Erisi... Erisi wasn't a very feminine name. It seemed 'her' parents had chosen the name well, what was truthfully Erisi's masculine build was seen as a butch build by M'bal.
I do not think your rider's attempts at speeding things up has worked so far. Gugaroth commented mirthfully. He rolled a little before standing and pulled his wings tight against his body before flopping onto his back. The Bronze wriggled, scratching his back before fanning the wing away from Charath out across the smooth rock.
