He seemed familiar, maybe from a dream? That was better than Orgailian expected to get and smiled at the little green dragonet. It didn't prove definitively that the Touchings weren't needed because the dragonets didn't remember the interaction or even that they were important for that gentle sense of knowing left upon them, but that hadn't been his intention anyway. Orgailian only wanted to know if Eurydith remembered him and perhaps learn more about why they weren't compatible in the end. He had his theory, especially now that he knew the type of person Eurydith did want. Sure, she had loved his creative side but not all aspects of him and Orgailian knew he wasn't as selfless as Or'fus. It had been a plesant bonding experience and he hoped to keep visiting the green pair in the future but being actual mates wouldn't have worked.
"I like you, too," Orgailian replied and found he was smiling again at her hope to hear a story. He glanced at his bag that held his notebooks and then nodded at Eurydith as Or'fus returned. "I sometimes write poems and short stories and I'd be happy to read you one later, if you like." That wasn't an offer he made to just anyone and he knew it extended to Or'fus as well but the green weyrling had viewed some of his work before so there were worse people to have critique his work.
"Sometimes being crushed is a perfectly acceptable way to pass an afternoon," he added to further show he was fine with how Eurydith was draped over him. Then again, with the bucket being set down, Orgailian started to have a change of heart. As long as he didn't end up wearing the meal, it would probably be fine. Still, his focus went to Or'fus and his gratitude. "I guess if she likes my stories, I can come around again sometime."
