Hatchings never seemed to be dull. He watched the brown break free first and nose around the other eggs which set off a chain of chaos. It was entertaining until one of the greens seemed injured. That was a bit of a mood killer but she made it to her mate and seemed well enough. He was sure she would be fine after a nap. Hopefully. He really wasn't a fan of the keening the dragons did and would prefer not to hear it again.
As the pack of three emerged and seemed to start hunting their prey, Ulliendis eyed them suspiciously. What were they up to? He couldn't make out what they were saying to each other but did they verify their choices with one another? Were they about to fight for the same man like what happened at another Hatching? That was some ugly business and he preferred not to see that again, especially up close as they moved closer in his direction. When they split up, there was a moment of panic that they were circling a target like wild felines but he saw one blue Impress to his right and relaxed.
He had lost track of the green but the other blue was still nearing him and Ulliendis finally acted. "Shoo, keep moving," he whispered with a wave of his hand to urge the hatchling onward. It likely wasn't necessary if he went by the weyrfolk belief that dragons always knew and made their connection immediately out of the shell and it couldn't be changed, but he wanted to make sure. Luckily, he did keep moving though his words earned him a look from the blue has he passed by on his way to his mate.
