So he was off by one. In his defence, he couldn't see the egg the brown came from all that clearly so Orgailian decided he was close enough and considered it a victory. But it was short lived as the brown started knocking around eggs--one of which being one he had Touched and had a nice connection with. The dragon within had been a soothing and sweet presence but they also mutually understood they weren't compatible. It had still been a nice time and Orgailian held his breath as a green spilled out and seemed disoriented as she wobbled her way stiffly to her bonded. She never looked his way but he watched her the entire trek to a man he knew and sometimes hung out with. It was a good match from what he got of the green and knew of the human but N'noa rushing over to assist with moving her off the Sands worried him/
As much as he wanted to keep watching her or even run over to her, Orgailian also knew that was dangerous and turned back to watch the other hatchlings starting to emerge. A good thing as well as there were now three on the loose and kind of moving as a pack. One of the blues seemed to be heading in their direction and again he found himself holding his breath and even grabbing his brother's hand. Was this it? Was he or Zor about to break the shiny pattern and be a bluerider? But no. The chubby baby went to a boy standing several feet from them. He released Zoremet's hand and pushed his hair back from his eyes. It was long enough to mostly stay pulled back but a few wisps were stubborn and currently served as a focus for his confused emotions. Was he disappointed or relieved? And who was he feeling those for?
Finally he gave a little shrug as he looked at Zor. "He was a weird shade of blue anyway." It was easier to deflect the emotions and give them an excuse to latch onto instead.
