Rh'us couldn't help but chuckle a little. "I suppose the cabinet you assisted with works just as well then." Such a dramatic and ridiculous young man, but he supposed that had to do with his Harper background more than anything. It seemed to match the other Harpers he'd met in passing in the past. Even the ones who had ended up on dragons seemed to keep a bit of that dramatic tendency.
He returned Ulli's grin, mostly because he was sure that the candidate's grin and everything else was for show. He could put up with a show if it meant saving himself some more time and frustration and more importantly, more paperwork. Especially since at this point just the thought of paperwork threatened to give him a headache on its own. "Well you do enjoy being quite flamboyant, and not just in your attire. Flamboyancy and discretion don't tend to go hand in hand in my experience." Rh'us paused at that, head tilted as he considered the young man. "Though I suppose your other talents seem to have escaped notice. Maybe it's all just a sort of distraction. So long as you continue to do good work I suppose it doesn't matter." He shrugged.
As Ulli went on about creating a bit of drama he couldn't help but snort softly in amusement. "Are you sure you aren't still a Harper? I'm sure there's more drama to be had if you went back to the Hall or went on circuit." The reaction to his invitation to lure the man up to be his assistant made Rh'us roll his eyes. "Clearly I'll just have to keep you safe. And as for that assistant position, clearly blowjobs."
He gave a wiggle of his eyebrows at the young man before chuckling and saying, "But really it would just be for my research. You've helped with it before, minor measurements, mixing, directed compounding, babysitting my tubes as they heat or cool, help with keeping my supplies organized and such. Nothing terribly exciting to most people, but you might learn something. Maybe you'll find being a healer suits, though it's much less dramatic. Honestly I just remember that you have steady hands from the last time you assisted me."
