"Odd, usually it's tits that do that," Geric said in his own flat conversational tone. It was something he would have joked to Ullie about, someone he was actually comfortable around, and when he realized what he'd said he blushed and stammered out a quick apology. "Uh sorry... sorry about that. Just joking. Really." He cringed a little, because even if it was fine he felt it shouldn't have been because Mylorah was still a stranger, or at least his brother's lady and not someone he should just be comfortable around.
Quil clearly didn't count because she was basically a mother and it was so hard to see anything sinister about that even when she was doing sinister things like tricking him into doing things for himself or even for others, like pulling out a chair for Mylorah and helping to get pitchers to refill drinks as needed.
And probably because she was around, he felt a bit more at ease as dinner went, mostly listening, but also answering questions about himself, and occasionally even asking a question of his own about how dragons talked to each other. Occasionally he'd pay particularly close attention to Quilriana's reaction to a question or statement, curious if he could piece together what she really thought about everything.
At the question he couldn't help but tilt his head. "It seems like it would be too crowded to walk down a hall with three of us in a row like that. I could walk you though if Leeri wanted to walk with Quil. I can't remember if she's staying in or not." He gave his brother a frown as he heard the man snickering. "What? All I did was... Oh." He finally realized she had flirted with him and groaned, turning slightly pink from embarrassment. "Sorry, I'm awful. And really, people might just get confused if they saw you with me, wondering who put you up to it."
At least Quil saved him with a slice of cherry pie. Geric very quickly grabbed his fork to take a bite only to glance up at her and set it down as he waited for everyone else to get there's as well. He supposed he could be polite and embarrassed at the same time.
