There was something that felt off about the whole situation and Geric blinked, frowning for a moment as he tried to figure out what it was. It wasn't him right? Usually it was, but he didn't think it was this time other than his general bummed demeanor. No, it was Mylorah. She'd been very perky and... emotive. Brash. Bright. And now she was just sulking and he couldn't help but have a brief moment of worry that it was his fault. "Hey... I... I didn't upset you did I? Please don't be upset. I'm already bad enough at things I don't want to add meeting my brother's friends to the list."
At least he didn't have to worry about the letter and that made him relieved a bit. "I just don't want Leeri to worry about or poke his nose too much into who I'm talking to. I just... I've got some personal stuff I'm trying to figure out, and I don't want to tell him about any of it yet." Wait, was he accidentally talking shit about his brother to his mistress? "I mean, I don't think he'd be upset with me, he's always been there for me and been supportive I'm just not... not ready yet."
Geric sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. He didn't want them both to go back to the dinner table looking terrible and sad. His brother would be upset and that would only make him feel worse and he wasn't really sure what to do or how to make anything better. "Is there anything I can do to try and make things up to you? I could tell you stories about Gangleri or just... I don't know. I feel like I'm only making things worse now, and this was supposed to be a good dinner. Leeri was excited to have you over to meet everyone and I wanted to see what the lady who made him smile so much with her letters looked like. You're younger than I thought you'd be."
