"More letter writing? I wonder if it had anything to do with his work or if it was personal... I've never seen that particular blue firelizard before today so I'm not sure who it belongs to." Upon hearing that Mylorah had called Geric out on calling her a friend made far more sense for the current situation though. Gangleri paused in his attempts at waking his brother to nod. "Ah that makes sense. I was fairly certain he knew about you, but he was probably just trying to be polite and discreet. I don't exactly openly talk about certain aspects of my personal life with him." He was also fairly certain that Geric knew Quil had a lover as well, though he never talked about it at all.
Mylorah's sudden insistence that Geric hadn't insulted her both confirmed that was probably a contributing factor to this fainting spell and also had Gangleri curious if his brother's anxiety was somehow contagious. He gave her a gentle smile. "I know, he didn't insult you. He's a bit too cowardly for that unless he's working and doesn't actually care about the content of his words so much as their effect. That was something I was able to teach him at least, when it's not something that's real to him he can be almost eloquent. Not quite enough to star in any of my plays, but enough that I can bring him in to help train apprentices." Teaching apprentice actors how to properly lie was always easier with assistants.
"Come on, Geric. Wake up before I have to go tell Quil. You wouldn't want her to worry would you?" Gangleri gave his brother another pat on the face followed by a gentle shake as he saw Mylorah poke him harder in the foot again. At least that seemed to get some sort of reaction and Geric stirred, grumbling incoherently as he tried to feebly bat his brother away and his legs twitched. "Ah there we go. See, he'll be just fine, Mylo. Geric. Geric! There we go, how about you take Mylorah to go get washed up so we can have dinner. I'll go let Quilriana know you're on your way." And also put something a bit extra into the boy's drink to help him calm down and also recover a bit from his fainting spell.
