Was Geric always this skittish and secretive? She watched the frantic removal of the letter and frowned at the firelizard that didn't seem too impressed either before going off to do his job. This wasn't exactly the first impression and meeting she was hoping for but it was the one she had so might as well work with it. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Geric," Mylorah was practically sitting on her hands to keep from pulling him into a hug or to grab a hand for a slightly more normal shake. It seemed like neither would be overly appreciated and she didn't offer her hand because she felt like she'd be left hanging for quite a while as Geric made up his mind about her.
"I'm his friend but why the pause before you said it?" Her head tilted to the side in consideration and the smile that had been so easy to hold finally started to slip away as she realised Geric was a proper Holder and how he must have viewed her like so many other Holders she'd met beside Tazikel. "Oh. Holders would be a lot happier if they didn't have so many negative views and labels and had less narrow boxes. Friend, escort, lover, mistress, whore... whatever you're comfortable with, I don't really care." It had taken a while for the names and comments to get to her and she had her moment of crying alone but since then, Mylorah had focused on quiet revenge and not letting the mean girls get to her. She knew what she was and what she had with the men they wished would notice them.
"Anyway, you were writing to Lord Igen, right? I think I saw his name. Sorry, I didn't mean to read anything but his name caught my eye when I approached you. How do you know him? I met him briefly a while ago at a party I attended with Lord Tazikel. He's pretty fun and flirty." Both excellent traits in a man, though she was embarrassed to say she only ever had eyes for Tazikel when she was attending events with him. "Maybe one day I'll go to Igen Hold." Not that she believed Habraxel would remember her or care that she was visiting his Hold but it was still a region she hadn't explored yet regardless.
