Geric had relocated to his room once he realized his brother had taken the woman to his office. Even with the door open so he could hear the call for dinner it felt a bit more secluded, a bit safer for the letters he was presently exchanging with his baby mama's real father. Because after talking to her with Quil, it turned out she'd been as full of lies and terribleness as he had. Too bad she hadn't been lying about the baby though, he still existed though his name turned out to be just as fabricated as her own.
So he'd been exchanging letters with a man in Igen, carried back and forth by the blue firelizard he'd found out was named Lapis as they tried to do plan for travel arrangements. Raxiana's father was more than willing to accept a ride from Qu'va, who thankfully was just as willing to provide said ride from the last letter he'd sent, it just seemed the man was incredibly busy and had to make sure his affairs were in order before he could leave. He must have been a very important merchant, his name seemed familiar in a way that nagged at him, but he couldn't quite place it. Either way he was jotting down Qu'va's name and stating he'd down to provide a ride when there was a bright and ringing voice and then there was a blur out of the corner of his eye and he panicked.
"Nothing!" His pen skipped and smeared, he wadded up the paper, and shoved it hastily at the waiting firelizard. It took the crumpled note with a disdainful look in his eyes but poofed away promptly. And then the strange woman was on his bed, and somewhere in the back of his head he knew this was Mylorah, his brother's mistress. That just made Geric freeze in shock, staring at her with wide eyes as he tried to think of what to do. What should he do? He had to assume anything he said or did was going to get back to his brother, it was safer that way. For now he couldn't help but wonder what she'd seen and what she knew. "I... I was just writing a letter to someone."
He realized that she'd also tried to confirm who he was and he cleared his throat to quietly add, "Yeah, I'm Geric." He studied Mylorah for a moment longer, intently staring at her face, her eyes, the set of her mouth, the tension in her forehead. No, he didn't think she'd seen anything, though she was probably bothered by... oh. That was probably his fault because he was an anxious mess and she could tell. Geric cringed, shrinking in on himself and glancing towards the door. "Is... is dinner ready? Sorry for... uh... sorry. You just startled me. But yes I'm Geric. Nice to meet you. You're my brother's... friend. Right?"
