Quilriana only had a moment to take in Mylorah before she had the young woman hugging her. She laughed and returned the gesture, finding it easy to see why Gangleri was so taken with her. It wasn’t the first time she had seen Mylorah since she’d attended some Hatchings and the girl always stood out with the way she interacted with those around her and even with people in the audience. But it was nice to properly meet her and experience that affection first hand. “It’s lovely to meet you as well, Mylorah. I hear you’re also a sorceress so we’ll have to talk shop soon.” She laughed again as Mylorah seemed momentarily at a loss for words, probably trying to figure out how much she knew about her relationship with Gangleri, before she went with grinning and a nod. Yes, this one would certainly help keep Gangleri on his toes.
“Gangleri, go wash up and then get your brother. I’ll have dinner on the table in just a few minutes.” Quilriana started to shoo her husband away but Mylorah surprised her by offering to fetch Geric and was out the door before she could be stopped. “I should worry about that but I think the shock and interaction will do Geric well.” He was making progress with the baby ordeal but a little extra practice with a whirlwind of energy would be good practice.
“Wash up and then go rescue him if you think he needs it,” she ordered before turning back to the roast beef that had sat long enough and was ready to be carved. By the time everyone returned, dinner would be on the table and would likely be the smoothest part of the evening for most of them.
