S'far watched as Chir got the row dug out and turned, occasionally pointing out when the boy needed to break a piece of earth down a bit more or leaning down to grab a stone to toss to the side into a neat little pile. So far so good, and with much less personal effort than normally required! Too bad Sironar knew better than to randomly stop by while he was gardening or he'd get more labor out of the boy. That was fine though, there were plenty of other people who randomly stopped by to help and ask him questions, and even when there weren't he really didn't mind doing the work himself.
With a new pile of stones collected for him to sort through later and Chir done with getting the row dug, S'far took a step closer to see what it was the boy was writing bout. "Horses, eh? They're fine enough beasts I suppose, I just very quickly stopped caring about them as soon as I had the Old Man. If you manage to Impress you might not have much time for other creatures, if your dragon tolerates them." He glanced up at the goung green firelizard perched on the boys shoulders and added, "Flitters are generally easy to care for and are usually good about not competing with a dragon for attention. My boy's green did just fine after all."
He frowned, brow furrowed for a moment as he was lost in an old memory, but it didn't last long before S'far shook his head and pulled out the small jar of seeds. "If you want to fly you'll have to Stand at clutches, and for that you'll need to be in the good graces of the Candidatemaster. So be sure to behave, do your chores, pay attention to lessons, and don't ignore curfews once the eggs are on the sands."
After a few jabs in the dirt with a finger, S'far started planting his seeds. Old man, some watering would be appreciated. He knew the dragon was letting out a grumble on his ledge before he took off, gliding down easily to the lake to fill his mouth with water before walking the rest of the way to the garden. S'far moved out of the way, gently grabbing onto a corner of Chir's shirt to pull him along with as the bronze let out a spray of water onto the freshly tilled and planted row. "Thanks, old man. That should be good for now." The bronze offered a low crackling growl of acknowledgement before making his way back to the lake for a soak.
Stretching enough to get a few cracks out of his back, S'far turned to Chir. "Just need to put up the tools and that's that for the garden. Keep up with the chores, learn as much as you can, and that should be a good start to helping out. If I can think of anything else more specific for you I'll let you know. But, was there anything else you wanted from me?"
