Cazan hadn't thought to warn Chir not to kiss Mal, the thought that the boy would even do it hadn't even occurred to her as a thing anyone would do. She wasn't even paying attention too much really, which in hindsight she really should have. Especially since suddenly Malvayth had let out a delighted chirping sound and suddenly had the boy's head in her mouth as she licked him.
"MALVAYTH!" The goldrider had a moment of panic because this would be the perfect most absolutely worst time for S'far to just casually walk in for some random question or another. At least her own spike of worry, if not necessarily the verbal shouting, was enough to make the dragon stop, huffing in annoyance. He started it! He kissed me so I kissed him! She didn't see why Cazan had to get in the way of her good times.
After a quick check to make sure no one was around to have seen anything, and sending Lady on a quick scouting flight to confirm that, she rushed over to check on Chir, hand grabbing a handkerchief from her pocket to dry his face off at least. "Are you okay? Sorry about that... she's... friendly." A bit more quietly she added, "Please don't tell anyone, I try not to encourage her to do that."
At least it was easy enough to distract Mal from her irritation with the speculation about the mystical golden wherry. Cazan just sighed as the gold began to jabber on about potential hunting tactics, none of which would have been usable to a human since they had no fangs or claws and couldn't fly to pounce on them from above. She resigned herself to just having to deal with this latest little fantastical obsession of Mal's until the dragon eventually forgot.
There was only one thing though, Malvayth didn't think Chir should go hunting so soon. What if it takes too long? What if my prizes are ready before you're done! You'll have to be here to see them. They're going to be very good, my best prizes yet! I had a very good game. She was quite smug and proud of that, even if her rider didn't necessarily appreciate who was riding Xyxyth. He was an excellent winner and had been fun to play the game with and that was really the important part.
