Fancy tolerated the chin nip rather well, though Sironar had been worried for a moment that it would encourage him to try and play a bit roughly. Instead the blue let out a soft huff and flopped down dramatically as if he'd been slain, half hanging off of his shoulder perch with only his tail really anchoring him. When a follow-up attack didn't come, Fancy pulled himself back up so that he could go back to looking mostly dignified as he watched the tiny green curiously.
When she finally came down to offer a nose book he let out a please chirp and gave her a gentle nudge and nuzzle back before returning to his own boy to comfortably curl up around Siro's neck. "I guess he just really wanted to meet her. If she weren't on your shoulder he might even try to cuddle her a little, but don't worry about his feelings. He's just ridiculous." Still, he reached up to give his flitter a fond pat. "At least they get along."
Forgetting that he'd moved to Chir's bed, or that the bed even had a proper owner since he had used it for the longest time as a softer table, Siro flopped backwards, sending Fancy skittering up to rest on his chest rather than get crushed. "I'm glad you like your new flitter, Chir, but I think I might nap for a bit. Just let me know if you need me to help with anything okay? And don't forget your writing practice later. If you can at least write down your name and Chirp's name neatly enough I'll show you the best strawberry patch later."
It seemed a flimsy method of motivation, but that was fine, it didn't require that much effort. "It'll be fun, I can show you around to the best spots... she can look at all the things..." he drifted off to his nap before he'd even finished his sentence.
