Sironar patiently waited for Chir to finish impressing the little green, hands still on Fancy as he commanded the lizard to stay for the moment. The blue let out a small frustrated chirp, but obediently settled down and enjoyed the gentle petting he was at least getting while he was there. There was a small amount of jealousy from the firelizard, but Siro wasn't quite sure if it was directed at the newly hatched green for getting attention and food, or at Chir for paying attention to a different firelizard for once. With a soft chuckle he gave Fancy another light scratch under his chin and then cleared his throat. "She's cute. So you're going to stick with Chirp for her?"
He grabbed onto his oil and adjusted where he was sitting so that Fancy could get a better look at the new baby, stretching out as far as he could to get closer while still technically staying at least partially on his master's lap as he'd been told. Siro just rolled his eyes and oiled up the rag to start demonstrating. "You'll need to oil her a lot while she's young and growing. They don't grow as quickly as dragons, but quick enough that it's good to keep up with. If you get a feeling that you're itchy somewhere but can't actually fix it, it might just be her trying to let you know she's itchy and needs more. I can try to get her used to what her name sounds like aloud for you, but if you just try to think as clearly as you can it'll eventually work the same as she gets older and learns.
Fancy gave a soft plaintive chirp, tail wrapping around Siro's wrist so he could get his nose to almost poking distance of Chir's little companion. "Fancy, come back here. You can meet her later." With a quick roll of his eyes he added, "You might actually be able to touch him this time, Chir, if you wanted to sneak a pet in. He's too distracted to run right I think." Though of course as soon as he said it aloud the blue withdrew and circled around to perch on Siro's other side for his oiling.
"Or not." After a quick adjustment to finish up oiling Fancy, he turned his attention back to Chir. "Too bad you can't teach her to talk for you. That would have been handy. We can work on other tricks later though. Maybe we can take her and Fancy hiking later."
