S'far watched the boy startle and get up and then try to run and just immediately fall back down. It was a rather funny reaction in his own mind, to think of anyone afraid of dragons. He supposed that Cazan's brother always seemed very nervous and terrified of them too, but even that was always amusing since his sister had such a.... unique dragon of her own. He waited patiently while Urudith handled things, letting the boy get whatever initial shock he had out of his system.
He was sensing quite the confused reaction from Urudith though. The dragon watched the boy as he stammered and panicked, waiting until he finally introduced himself and then... the bronze huffed, practically bristling with disgust and annoyance and stood up, no longer willing to entertain any further discussion or even attempts at it as he turned and walked away. S'far frowned as he called to the dragon, "Old man! Where are you going?!"
I am done, I will not be subjected to such indignity. What? Did you at least get his name? Chironhes but It does not matter, the boy is mentally deficient and surely soon to be braindead, leave him. S'far bounced up to his feet to walk over to the dragon, reaching over and rubbing at the disgruntled bronze's favorite spots for pets and scratches as he tried to cajole more information out of him. And then he finally got a glimpse of what had upset Urudith so much and he stifled a laugh. "He's just a boy! Sure a dumb one, but... anyway, he's probably lost enough blood that he can't think straight anyway."
The dragon was not willing to entertain such considerations and though he did settled back down he only looked over at Chir briefly as he gave a very loud, almost roaring yawn that showed off his many sharp and glinting teeth. S'far gave the bronze another pat and muttered a quick promise to give him another oiling as soon as they got home and went to tend to the young man. "So, Chironhes, I'm going to make sure you get bandaged as much as possible, and then we are going to take you to the Weyr and have a proper healer look at you. For the ride, do not panic, I should have a spare coat you can wear to keep warm, and do not flail or kick or move or do anything. Nod if you understand, since you've gone and insulted Urudith and he won't talk with you anymore for me."
