When had Mylorah gotten there? Hopefully she was fine, but she seemed so upset. Everyone was upset, and it was all his fault. His voice was hoarse and choked as he said, "Sorry... I'm sorry. I didn't... is the egg okay?" Fediletch knew it wasn't, but maybe if he asked the question aloud he would somehow get a different answer. Maybe something else had happened and she'd say that he'd just had a terrible dream.
"My eggs... I only touched one before..." tears started to fill his eyes and he took a deep breath, counting softly to himself to try and stay calm. "It thought I was a waste of time. I was too boring... I hope it finds someone who is fun and interesting enough for it. Did your eggs like you more? I hope they did..."
It felt a bit hollow to talk about the eggs right after he'd just murdered one, but he didn't want Mylo to be so upset, and talking would help distract her. So even though his shoulder hurt enough to make his head swim, Fediletch kept talking and listening.
He blinked at L'gan when he arrived, nodding. "Right... and maybe. I can try." He wasn't sure he deserved any help though. Not after what he'd done. He grimaced as he was helped up to his feet, his eyes turning towards the egg he'd crushed and blurring once more with tears. "Sorry.... I'm so sorry..." The healer was right though. They should probably go. He followed along quietly, too tired and hurt to pretend he wasn't about to fall apart.
