Mylorah loved flying but she had never been more thankful to finally land and dash inside. Not only was it cold but the weather was a bit terrifying and she had half a mind to tell A’tay they were all staying the night if the weather continued like it was. She didn’t want Xyxyth going back out there if he didn’t need to. But with that worry currently over, she followed A’tay and Zelana up the stairs and plunked herself down next to her brother after removing her coat. It became a cushion for her so she wouldn’t have to worry about holding it or having it be in the way. The gloves and hat were also removed and shoved into a pocket—pockets were the best invention, no question.
She greeted a couple of friends who passed by in the stands but Mylorah was more focused on the Candidates that were gathering. She saw Fetch first as he easily stood out amongst the shorter and younger Candidates he had stationed himself near. He was an absolute sweetheart and Mylorah didn’t expect anything less from him. She was so grateful there was someone else out there looking after the new Candidates like she often tried to do. Since he currently wasn’t paying much attention in her direction, she continued sweeping the groups and saw Zoremet. Just as she was about to call out to him, he looked up and she grinned and waved with both hands at him. How she wished she was down there to keep an eye on him!
Out of all of them, Zoremet was the biggest culprit for daydreaming and Mylorah could see how tense he was as well. Had they bullied him into Standing again? If he didn’t Impress this time, she would check in with him and make sure he was happy and comfortable with the idea. He wasn’t the only one in their family that hadn’t Impressed yet and none of them would like down on him if he decided he didn’t want to. Wynera currently didn’t have any desire to Stand and then there she was, Standing as much as she could and still leaving solo.
After giving Zoremet a reassuring smile and making a heart with her hands to express her love for him, Mylorah stopped embarrassing him and turned back to Fetch, finally catching his eye and waving to him. If she happened to pull a Cazan that night, then he better Impress as well to keep her company.
Speaking of Cazan—Mylorah smiled as the goldrider and T’ryn showed up being extra adorable that day. Being mated agreed with her brother and it seemed pregnancy agreed with Cazan as the woman seemed to have that glow women liked to talk about. Mylorah didn’t have any desire to experience that firsthand but it was attractive on Cazan at least. When they joined their little group, Mylorah jumped up and gave Cazan a tight hug to officially welcome her into the family. “Hey! Congratulations on being mated!” She pulled back and grinned, “and the wedding as well, I suppose. You’re going to have your hands full with Yfris, possibly more so than with the baby.”
