K'dar sat back up, frowning and feeling like he'd just punched himself in the gut. His sister was crying, she shouldn't be crying. And worse it was his fault. He had quietly listened when she started to talk about Tazikel, becoming even more worried to hear that she thought so highly of the lordling, and that she cared about him so much. That she was crying was bad enough, worse because it was his fault, but all of that paled in comparison to the fact that she thought he wouldn't believe her.
"Mylo... no. It's not that I believed the rumors... I'm just... I worry. I was upset that there were rumors at all, and I just want to make sure you're safe. I don't really believe you would sleep with everything, it was a stupid thing to even say and I knew it was stupid the moment I said it and if I could take the words back I would." He got up to step around the table and try to pull her into a hug as he kept soothing. "I believe you, Mylo. If you say you care about this guy and that he's wonderful and worth all of the fuss then I will believe you. I won't even threaten to fight him. I want you to be happy because I love you."
K'dar frowned, trying to think of anything to make it better. "What can I do to make this up to you? Maybe I can meet Tazikel in person?" He quickly added, "Not because I don't believe you, just so I can have a chance to get to know him a little better too. Would that be fine?"
