"It is too damn cold, Isper," Je'ler said with a grumble as he hopped off and unloaded the first small cask of wine. It was the third time he'd complained about the weather in the allegedly terrible frozen north this week with all the errands and deliveries they'd been running. The green dragon craned her head about to give him a look. And yet you keep agreeing to bring wine.
"Look, the riders need good wine, and there are more than enough who prefer mine over that other swill. How could I leave them wanting?" He finished unloading and hefted the first cask onto his shoulder to make his way towards the dining hall. Isperinath huffed in amusement. You could have someone else deliver it, you know. Je'ler shook his head and grinned. "But then they might try to give me some other work. At least this is easy, even if it is cold."
He hummed to himself as he started to walk, and then the hum broke out into a bawdy song about a baker's daughter and a butcher boy. The words were belted out with more enthusiasm than skill, his voice off key and only interrupted by the occasional sip from the wine skin he kept in his coat.
He did thankfully pause when he spotted the dark haired woman staring at a map and he walked up with a grin. "Hello there, are you lost?"
