F’drel did not like the way D’hys made himself at home in R’dal’s chair. It wasn’t for him, and he shouldn’t get to sit in it so casually, as if he had a right to. Especially if he wanted to pretend he didn’t even really know who R’dal was, which was stupid. There was no possible way D’hys didn’t know who R’dal was, he’d made it his business to know things and R’dal was the son of a Weyrleader. It’s not like R’dal was particularly cautious either, so it wouldn’t be hard for D’hys to find out plenty more on him if he felt like it. Pretending he barely remembered R’dal’s name was ridiculous. Stupid bluerider and his stupid power games. What performative bullshit. F’drel may prefer to keep his life as private as possible but it was impossible to miss how much time he and R’dal spent together. It didn’t sound like D’hys had any designs on R’dal, just wanted to be a dick to F’drel and attempt to unsettle him. Which worked, because of course it did, anything could unsettle F’drel, but still. Bastard.
It took so much effort to keep from giving D’hys the most unimpressed glare, but F’drel managed.
And apparently D’hys was offering a ‘gift’ of his own today. F’drel raised a questioning eyebrow, heavily doubting anything D’hys ever did truly had no strings attached. Sounded terribly unlikely, in F’drel’s opinion. He didn’t say anything, just watched D’hys suspiciously and waited for the bluerider to elaborate. F’drel had very low expectations for this ‘gift’ of his.
