It is not my fault he whacked you over the head with his stick.
Erisi grumbled a response to her. 'He' was G'rem, and his stick was not his sharding meat wand. It was literally a stick. Erisi had drifted off during a lesson all because Charath, who normally kept him on his toes, had been distracted by a certain green dragon. You deserved it. That is what you get for dozing off and making me look bad.
"I wasn't dozing off!"
You were turning Valerian's lap into a pillow. Charath responded, voice wicked with amusement. She was greeted with a roll of her bonded's eyes, which she was beginning to get used to. Erisi's hand was in his hair, where he remembered the whack to have struck, but there was no actual mark or bruise. That did not mean he felt no pain, or remembered said pain. The lesson had long ago been over, but Erisi wasn't the sort of person to forget things easily. Charath wasn't even trying to help him get over it, since she found it far too amusing to see him pout and get a little red in the face. It almost made him cute enough that she favored him over Valerian. Maybe that was why she picked him, in the end, he was far easier to upset than Valerian would have ever been.
The pair had entered the dining hall with the innocent intention to eat, but Erisi's eyes had caught sight of B'jin. Even the fact that Jazira was there was not a deterrent for the young man. If she tried to do something crazy, which was in her full capacity to do, he would at least have dragonriders around to keep his face from getting mauled off by some diseased and rabid girl. If you start trouble I am going to go see Valerian.
"Will you stop saying his name? You say no one else's name."
Maybe if you'd listen to me I would.
Erisi strolled over to B'jin, and while his movements weren't angry, it was easy to tell that something was wearing at his patience. It could also be noted that his history with B'jin was a little... rocky. Talian liked him, so Erisi suffered through him. It was a great and noble sacrifice that he held in front of Talian's face on more than one occasion. But today, he had words with the Greenrider. "B'jin." He glanced towards Jazira, not in the least apologizing for potentially interrupting her. He was more silently telling her to back off so he could get something done.
"Can you please keep Larrikith from distracting Charath during lessons? I'd be more than happy to have Larrikith babysit her for the rest of the day, but I sort of need her around for classes."
I am so proud, you said 'please'!
