The Dining Hall was mostly uneventful, as the population came and went, some dropping by for a late lunch while other's claimed an early dinner or simply a snack. There was a small group, chatting and talking while they drank by an open fireplace. The rumble of voices was fairly soothing and was just what B'jin had been looking for when he had Larrikith bring him to the Hall as the afternoon hours hit their peak. He carried in his right hand a Hessian sack that was bulging with it's contents. It was flung with abandon over his shoulder, bumping lightly against the man's back as he walked. His left hand, free from contents, shoved his hair back off his forehead as the greenrider made his way on light feet to an empty table by the Harper stage, and claimed it as his own.

Throwing the sack on top of the table where it rustled and clunked, B'jin left it there for a moment as he made his way over to the table housing drinks and poured himself a large mug of redfruit juice. He drank half of it while he stood there, refilled it, and then made his way back to the table he had dumped his things on. A moment later, B'jin was sitting in the centre of a table meant to seat six people, with the items of the carry sack spread out before him. Lengths of leather, were draped across the table while buckles rested around his crossed legs, a needle was resting before his foot and a roll of heavy duty twine for sewing was beside it. Lifting his left hand to brush his hair uselessly out of his face - only for it to fall back exactly where it had been a moment before - B'jin used his eyes and his fingers to measure out a length of the longer leather. He made a marker on it with a charcoal stick before remeasuring it to make sure. When he had confirmed it was the right length, the rider used a small, sharp knife that had been resting atop his ankle to slice it with a flick.

Putting the measured strip closer to him, B'jin measured out what was left of the other part and then smiled happily. The expression changed into a huff as he blew hair out of his eyes with a breath and flicked his head irritably. Frowning, he picked up a clip, examined it carefully to make sure it contained no faults, and set it to balance on his folded knee. Next, he picked up the thread and needle, cutting a length of the twine before threading it onto the needle. Picking the buckle back up he slipped it onto the leather and folded the leather over at the appropriate spot. Using quick, steady moves that belied the effort required to sew through the heavy duty straps, B'jin quickly finished off the first part. Tying off the not and cutting the twin, B'jin examined it carefully with a critical eye. Making riding straps was never to be taken lightly; making those straps for Larrikith even less so.

Putting the strap aside that he'd finished with, B'jin picked up his mug and absently brushed his hair out of his eyes again, hardly aware of the motion as he frowned at the lengths of leather still sitting before him. The mug was set down carefully where it wouldn't be knocked over by accident and B'jin picked up the next length, once more measuring it with eye and hand before going through the slicing and sewing. Caught up in his work, and not paying attention to the Hall around him, B'jin hummed placidly to himself as he worked.

[sup]B'jin is being a busy little bee. So! I invite everyone to photobomb him for 2-3 tags each xD DO IT. Please? ;;[/sup]

Jazz having had yet another mood swing made her way into the dining caverns. figuring that a mug of klah would soothe  her damaged pride. She would be attending the hatching, that was why they brought her to this sharding place not to be a brood mare to be lumped with screaming brats.  Fanath help any man who tried. Spotting some taking up so much room mildly irriated her as she headed over to tell him off, she paused noting the lining of careful stitches, purses her lips, she moved a sidestep over, catching him stitch the neat line.

"If you wet your hair then apply pressure it'll stay out of your eyes." She uttered softly, propping a hand on her hips, her lips threatening to twist upward into either a smirk or a fully fledged smile. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, eyes still locked on the neat line of stitching, she however remained silent. If he gave the signal, she'd leave but intrigue was always a good thing right?

Completely caught up in his task, B'jin was totally oblivious to the young woman that had stopped beside him on her way through the hall. Starting another strap, B'jin picked up a new buckle and was in the process of examining it carefully when he finally picked up on the feeling of eyes on him. The man's back stiffened and he waited for a moment, expecting a biting remark from a brown or bronzerider about his being on the table, as opposed to sitting at it. What he heard was the low voice of a woman. His posture relaxed and he gently put the clip down on his knee, resting his hands lazily along his shins.

B'jin's head turned slowly to look up at Jazira, a frown drawing his eyebrows together for a moment as he studied her face. There weren't that many Northerners within the Katilan boarders and B'jin was enough of a gossip to be up to date with his fellow's imports, something that was easier to be with D'ren shutting down their need to Search. Jazira, a healer brat. You really are useless you know. It was right there. Larrikith quipped, digging up the memory of the girl's name from her rider's mind as she peered through B'jin's eyes with curiosity at the girl before dismissing her as unimportant.

"Hrm." He hummed softly to her comment, thoughtful. He didn't really believe her, since he'd tried a lot of things to make the growing dark blonde locks do what he wanted. The best way to deal with it, in his opinion, would be to hack it all off. Of course, that would have repercussions that could go a multitude of ways (though he would, no doubt, make them good). He simply hadn't bothered to give R'nd his ultimatum yet, and he had a suspicious feeling at least one of the dragons was not helping in his remembering to. Larrikith's amusement vibrated in his skull.

Picking up his mug of juice, B'jin took a sip, tilting his head as he looked up at the young woman. "How's your day been, Jazira?" He asked lightly, the man's curiosity honest as brown eyes took in the subtle markers of unhappiness around her eyes. A lot of candidates were unhappy, so that was to be expected. Setting his mug back down carefully, B'jin took his gaze from the young woman and set about examining the clip with a trained eye. He'd long since gotten the hang of sewing the lethers; it was the clips that tended to be what faulted out in B'jin's experience.

It is not my fault he whacked you over the head with his stick.

Erisi grumbled a response to her. 'He' was G'rem, and his stick was not his sharding meat wand. It was literally a stick. Erisi had drifted off during a lesson all because Charath, who normally kept him on his toes, had been distracted by a certain green dragon. You deserved it. That is what you get for dozing off and making me look bad.

"I wasn't dozing off!"

You were turning Valerian's lap into a pillow. Charath responded, voice wicked with amusement. She was greeted with a roll of her bonded's eyes, which she was beginning to get used to. Erisi's hand was in his hair, where he remembered the whack to have struck, but there was no actual mark or bruise. That did not mean he felt no pain, or remembered said pain. The lesson had long ago been over, but Erisi wasn't the sort of person to forget things easily. Charath wasn't even trying to help him get over it, since she found it far too amusing to see him pout and get a little red in the face. It almost made him cute enough that she favored him over Valerian. Maybe that was why she picked him, in the end, he was far easier to upset than Valerian would have ever been.

The pair had entered the dining hall with the innocent intention to eat, but Erisi's eyes had caught sight of B'jin. Even the fact that Jazira was there was not a deterrent for the young man. If she tried to do something crazy, which was in her full capacity to do, he would at least have dragonriders around to keep his face from getting mauled off by some diseased and rabid girl. If you start trouble I am going to go see Valerian.

"Will you stop saying his name? You say no one else's name."

Maybe if you'd listen to me I would.

Erisi strolled over to B'jin, and while his movements weren't angry, it was easy to tell that something was wearing at his patience. It could also be noted that his history with B'jin was a little... rocky. Talian liked him, so Erisi suffered through him. It was a great and noble sacrifice that he held in front of Talian's face on more than one occasion. But today, he had words with the Greenrider. "B'jin." He glanced towards Jazira, not in the least apologizing for potentially interrupting her. He was more silently telling her to back off so he could get something done.

"Can you please keep Larrikith from distracting Charath during lessons? I'd be more than happy to have Larrikith babysit her for the rest of the day, but I sort of need her around for classes."

I am so proud, you said 'please'!

Paying quiet attention to Jazira as he worked on his new set of riding straps, B'jin was startled by the sound of his name and turned to stare with surprise at the young man that had spoken it. The greenriders's eyebrows arched slightly as he took in the sight of Erisi, noting his less than pleased expression with mild apprehension. He knew the boy had given Shel a black eye, and wasn't particularly interested in receiving one himself for whatever imagined - oh dear.

"I beg your pardon?" It wasn't really a question as B'jin's expression darkened and then his lips pursed, scowling as he glanced at the young dragon by Erisi's side. He then gazed irritably at the thin air over the young man's left shoulder. "Larri!" He snapped, his irritation half hearted. Yes, love? the sugar sweet words were shared with Charath, whom Larrikith believed would enjoy hearing the full exchange, though she kept clear of Erisi's mind. She was still awkward about bespeaking R'nd, despite permission granted by both dragon and human. She had no desire to experiment with bespeaking a newly bonded pair too, and was still firmly seated in her belief that bonded minds had a distinctly dirty feel to them. She much preferred the virginally clean mind of the unbonded. It was much more fun to go diving in those.

Secure that the green dragon's attention was with him, and the young audience, B'jin twirled a clip between his fingers as he met Erisi's irritable gaze with his own, though his was a combination of exasperation and mild amusement - mostly at the young man's expense, though (he hoped) not enough to warrant a fist to his face. "When was this?" The when would decide if Larrikith had beaten him to the punch or not; he had expressly forbid the little minx from going anywhere near the young dragonets and their humans. They had enough on their plate without worrying about her and her odd methods of amusement. Of course, such orders hadn't come until after he had realised how much she wanted to poke around the class, and in particular Valerian, with his little blue, and the little greenling she had taken a shining to.

Oh, that was an order? Larrikith injected cheerfully, perfectly aware that it had been, and such knowledge was clearly held in her voice as she bespoke her rider and Charath with devilish delight. B'jin's eyes rolled towards the roof and he sighed. Looking back at Erisi, his eyebrows arched up under his messy hair line, eyes wide with exasperated amusement. "No, I apparently can not." He paused, and a smirk flickered over his lips. "Can you?" Deeply amused now, and knowing that Erisi was not bonded to a morally uptight dragon himself, B'jin decided the young man would know with unique understanding exactly where he was coming from when he admitted the lack of control he had over his green and her odd antics - even if they had been bonded for more than half of B'jin's lifetime. At any rate, he assumed that Charath, like Larrikith, would only cause enough trouble to amuse her, and that usually stopped just before someone got seriously hurt.

Larrikith's laughter was deep and amused. The tiny green had never been prouder of Ronarth and Nirinath; such a magnificent specimen of green they had produced! Delighting in her amusement, Larrikith wrapped the emotion around B'jin, laughing at his half hearted attempt to mentally berate her, though he smiled with genuine warmth at his dragon, her smug amusement flowing through him.

"At the most, two sevendays ago." So he was a little late in relaying the news to B'jin, but Erisi had never actively sought out the man, and likely never would. B'jin was a Searchrider, and a barely tolerable one at that. Erisi only played nicely with him because Talian, for some twisted reason, was actually fond of the person who had uprooted him from his life. Then again, Erisi was sure that Talian hadn't exactly been happy with his old life, but he was just as unhappy with his new one. Erisi had been Searched by I'shan, and felt like their relationship was how all Searchers should suffer. The two could not be in the presence of the other without nearly coming to fists. Okay, so once he had punched I'shan, but the bastard deserved it.

I will think of more clever ways to punish him for you. Charath offered, but she sounded distracted. The young green was keenly listening in on Larrikith. The elder dragon surely would have some pointers for her on how to deal with irritable bondeds! It wasn't as if Charath was really worried, though. She was already walking all over Erisi, and while he bitched and moaned about it he never did anything to stop her. Maybe he just didn't know how to stop her! Their relationship would take a while yet to work out to some form of balance. Everything would always be tipped in Charath's favor, but not ever so heavily so.

At B'jin's answer, it was unclear whether Erisi was disappointed with the outcome or accepting of it. He released an exasperated sigh as Charath chuckled wickedly in his head at the Searchrider's answer. You went through all that trouble for nothing. I told you it would have done you just as well to leave it be. The Green dragonet crooned with pleasure, eyes whirling with amusement at her bonded's now uncomfortable position. He'd have to come to terms with sooner or later that Charath ruled their roost. She did what she liked! Maybe every once in a while she'd let Erisi do as he pleased too.

"You know this means I'll have to put you on a leash," he told Charath irritably, though Erisi always looked irritable. The truth was that he was probably just as amused as B'jin, but unwilling to show it.

I will eat it.

"I'll make Veeth wear it first."

Charath recoiled at the idea of eating something that Veeth had worn. How dare her bonded suggest such a thing!

I will grow out of it!

"Not for a few sevendays yet, and until then you will smell like Veeth and Krypth."

You're a... monster!

"Mhhhmmmm," Eri purred smugly.

I'm so proud!

Finally a chuckle seemed to be earned out of her pessimistic bonded, a helpless sound despite himself. He turned his head to B'jin as if to say something, or at least remind him to try and keep Larrikith away from his Green during lessons, but in the end said nothing. He shook his head of dark hair and walked away after a short and dismissive wave to B'jin. Erisi wasn't going to admit that he felt like he had still lost in this situation.

B'jin watched the interaction between the young weyrling pair with deep amusement, Larrikith's smug delight coursing through him doing nothing to help the older greenrider's disposition as he settled back on the table. B'jin couldn't hear Charath, of course, but judging from what little he knew of her (mostly influenced by Larrikith's like of the young dragon) and Erisi's own words in response to whatever the naughty little green was saying, meant B'jin didn't really have to use all that much imagination.

The greenrider's eyebrow arched under his hairline as Erisi loosed a laugh, wondering what could possibly have been said by the little dragon to bring the young man to such a response. Deciding he didn't want to know, B'jin let Erisi's would-have comment die before the younger man even fully considered saying it (also sure he didn't want to know whatever it was, too) and waved with a cheerful smirk as he lead Charath away.

That was amusing.

Indeed, Larrikith purred, as amused by the exchange as her rider was. Of course, that meant she would just have to steal Charath more regularly from the lessons. The little green's bonded obviously wouldn't do anything to hurt B'jin because of it and Charath would enjoy the time. Smug, Larrikith curled back up on the Hall roof.

The healer brat is still there, she said pointedly, and B'jin turned startled eyes to look up at Jazira. He blinked, smiled, and quickly went back to what he had been doing. Picking up another clip and examining it with a cautious eye, he brushed his hair back irritably with the other hand.

And so ‘winter’ had arrived. Though to Par’a, it felt much more like early autumn still. Despite the cooling of the weather nothing changed for Par’a, she was of course pestering the poor souls in the kitchens for tasty morsels. Grith was hovering around the windows, her nose threatening to break another window pane as she pressed up against it, trying to inhale the scents. Much to the disgust of the workers inside, she was leaving blue smudges of paint on the glass, having come from being prettied only moments ago.

Content with her basket full of goodies Par’a waltzed out of the kitchens, careful not to let Grith try and rub up against her. The Green pranced alongside her rider as they walked to the dining hall, launching herself up after much persuasion from her rider to not follow her inside. Grith landed on the roof, her nose dropping straight down and inhaling deeply. Like a canine she began to scurry across the hall, sniffing rapidly as she tracked a scent. Or amused herself, who knew. Par’a, glad that Grith had actually listened to herself for once, gave a short nod before entering the dining hall.

Glancing around she saw one of the Green weyrlings walking away from B’jin and held in a giggle. Off the top of her head she wasn’t sure if she knew about him beneath the furs, though with the Green toddling beside him it wouldn’t be long until she did. She gave him a cheerful wave and grin, though whether he saw or acknowledged it she didn’t really care. Bouncing over to B’jin she slid in on a bench before him, her basket thudding on the table.

“I hear Jada’s a total prude.” She commented, practically diving into the basket to pull out the slices of herb-crusted wherry she had snatched when the workers had been staring at Grith. Sometimes that buffoon did come in handy. “Oh, and,” without a care she stuffed the wherry into her mouth and spoke around it, “there’s a new one, I forget his name. A Greenie. Total whore. But only to the pretty folk... That leaves what, you, me?” Par’a winked, holding up a slice of meat in offering to B’jin.

Ripping open a small loaf of bread that had ‘accidentally’ fallen into a cooking fire Par’a pressed her nose into it, deeply inhaling the fresh, warm scent. Barely moving it she tore a hunk from it, her cheeks puffing out like a chipmunk’s.

“Anything new on your end?” She asked around the bread and meat, her eyes hopeful. She couldn’t help herself, it didn’t matter where you came from, once you went Green you were a part of the gossip chains.

Jazz simply smiled, reguarding B'jin's work with the same critical eye she used to survey her own work.

"Fine. I trust your day has been go-" her words cut off as the familiar young weyrling made his way. Jazz shifted just enough to hold herself straight, eyes focused on him, daring the weyrling to try anything, her own gaze darkening as she cast a quick glance around the dining hall, looking for his monster of a dragon.  She cast a quick glance over the little green before moving a step back to allow the weyrling a little closer. From the look on his face, he was feeling as displeased as she was the day his little monster decided to terrorise her. Well he did deserve it. If anything the longer the conversation went on, the more amused Jazz became, to the point of a sorid little smile creeping onto her lips until another rider came into view, one she remembered with the dragon who enjoyed being very brightly colore. she could only blink before her gaze moved back to B'jin. Jazz settled down, on the seat nearby, her hands folded together momentarily as she gazed at him.

"You're stitching loosk good enough to that fo a healer." She uttered softly with a smile. If anything the moment Ersi walked away Jazz felt her posture relax and any tension that she had held disappeared until she was back to the rather friendy being that B'jin had first met, rather than the glaring monster that stared heaviyl at Ersi until most would have thought he'd burst into flames under the pressure.

B'jin jumped visibly when a basket thumped down near him and he scooted across on the table to better make room for it, even as startled brown eyes focused on the carrier. A split second later, and B'jin's face lit up with a delighted smile as Par'a was recognised. "Hello Par'a!" He greeted, before bursting into laughter at her first words. Her next had him snickering as he pondered who she could mean. He was really behind on the latest gossip, and hadn't been in Par'a's company recently enough to be caught up.

He was sure he knew about- Oh! "Erisi!" B'jin giggled, throwing a wicked glance in the direction of the retreating Weyrling. "I'll pass. He's a little sour for me." Never mind the fact that the young greenrider was involved (to some degree) with Talian. B'jin grimaced at the thought, and shook himself theatrically. "Ooh!" Dropping his riding straps, B'jin brushed his hands against his thighs before taking the offered meat and nibbled on it delicately, a vast comparison to Par'a's more starving-child style. He did, however, snatch at the bread with a wicked grin and tear a chunk off for himself, before pawing through her basket.

"Not in the slightest," B'jin said blandly, grimacing at Par'a, before flicking a glance at Jazira. "Only in flesh that is already dead," B'jin returned to the girl, arching an eyebrow at her odd compliment - well, he assumed it was a compliment. He was pretty sure Talian would have something to say about his stitching quality and B'jin was pretty sure he had no intentions of ever sewing someone shut himself. That's what he had Talian for! Brown eyes soon refocused on the excitable woman that was feeding him, B'jin surfacing from the basket with a chunk of cheese and some more meat. "Yummy," he said, grinning happily as he made it into a sandwich of types.

"Life has been incredibly uneventful!" B'jin continued, back on the topic Par'a had originally instigated. "I've been good!" He said, laughing wickedly. A fact that was true, for the most part; aside from skipping out on Harper duties or springing his brats out of classes to help him bathe Larrikith, B'jin had been minding himself. It wouldn't last forever, of course, but he was hoping it would last at least long enough to get those breathing down his neck off his case. S'kef, in particular, the son of a threadscored Wher!

“Really? Hmm...” Par’a frowned, pondering the apparent sourness of Erisi. “Give him some time. They’re all sour at some stage as weyrlings.” She said somewhat seriously. It was true though, especially so with those that Impressed at Katila. Ripped from their homes and shoved onto burning sands to have a dragon invade their mind... Or that’s what the rumours said they felt like anyway. Whether they did or not was another matter entirely, they usually weren’t willing to talk to Par’a, particularly if Grith was nearby.

Chewing through her mouthful she glanced over at Jazira when B’jin addressed her, regarding her with mild surprise. Par’a had no idea who she was faced with; she certainly wasn’t a rider with those healer knots on her shoulder. Given how young she was she had to be a Northerner, the younger survivors that had no dragon partner hadn’t shown a great deal of interest to the crafts, or at least not enough to be awarded a Journeywoman rank. Giving her hand a quick pat on the cloth peeking out from the basket she extended it to Jazira.

“Hi! I’m Par’a.” She introduced herself, wondering only for a moment if she’d already done this. If she had, oh well, it wouldn’t take long for well, anyone really, to notice that she was almost as scatterbrained as her dragon. When it took her fancy, anyway.

B’jin’s comment of uneventful life earned him a dirty scowl and a light punch on the arm, potentially preventing Jazira from the chance to shake her hand given how quickly Par’a had moved. “You filthy liar! I haven’t seen you in what, a week? That means you’ve been busy!” She chided. Stuffing more food into her mouth she continued to scowl at him for a while, her silence punctuated by Grith bugling triumphantly on the roof above them. Casting her gaze up for a moment she shook her head and rolled her eyes.

“Seriously though. You can’t be good and uneventful. That’s.... boring!” Her eyes widened as she uttered the word, as if it was blasphemous. Which, well... it was!

B'jin watched Par'a with amusement as she thought over Erisi and his apparent lack of enjoyment with his lot in life. The man raised an eyebrow as she shrugged off his temperament, but B'jin wasn't so sure. He was pretty sure Erisi was the type to always be sour, had probably been born sour! He highly doubted graduating would make him any more fun. Well, at least he didn't ride a male dragon. B'jin didn't think he'd ever like to be caught in a flight with that one! Blah! Shuddering theatrically, B'jin stole some more of Par'a's food supply, nibbling on a slice of meat with much more delicacy than Par'a.

"I am not!" B'jin objected indignantly, looking scandalised that Par'a could even suggest such a thing as he rubbed at his arm with a sulking pout. B'jin couldn't lie convincingly if he was threatened with Faranth knew what; he was a terrible liar and Par'a knew that better than most! Still pouting, B'jin stole another chunk of bread and picked at it with an amazingly childish air, eyeing his fellow greenrider from the corner of his eye. Her additional words were met with a sudden laugh, throwing off his sulking air without any trouble.

"Twenty lashes, remember?" he quipped, dropping a hand on the opposite shoulder with a slight frown. They were healing well, thanks to Talian, and B'jin was incredibly happy to be rid of the stitches. Now his daily trip to see Talian included massages that were loosening up muscles and making sure nothing healed too tight. He'd hate to be unable to bathe his thankless dragon! Or himself! Half his delight in getting the stitches out came with the fact that he could lounge in a full tub of water once more. Not that he didn't appreciate R'nd's sponge baths... That caused a devious smirk to twist over B'jin's lips and he fluttered his eyelashes innocently at Par'a.

"Well, I exchanged sponge baths for back massages?" he offered, features twisting to mock innocence. Par'a would (he should think!) know better than to think B'jin had any intention of bedding Talian, but like their own relationship, B'jin occasionally enjoyed the scandalous ambiguity he could create by a carefully uttered sentence. While not the biggest fan of gossip, and one of the few that took it with a handful of salt, B'jin did find some of the things that went around highly amusing. Besides, it was fun saying things that would be misunderstood, when you were perfectly aware of how badly they could be twisted.

Jazz had moved a little bit backward to give Par'a move only to greeted in the most up beat and cheerful way possible. How on Pern could she be chipper?! Jazz just looked at Par'a with an risen eyebrow, her lips twisting ever so slightly into a lopsided and cheeky smile and with a slight incline of her head, picked out a sweet roll before practically inhaling it and choosing to take a nearby seat.

"Jazira, Jazz for short." She spoke softly, regarding with Par'a with the risen eyebrow still before she heard the overly dramatic voice and laughed softly.

"She's right you know. All work and no play makes for a very boring life. Boredom leads to idle thumbs and idle thumbs get into trouble." She grinned with the evilness of a tunnel cat eyeing up a tunnel snake. However she turned to face B'jin as he mentioned the lashing.

"I didn't think lashing were used as punishment anymore." She piped up, casting a side glance to Par'a before shifting her position slightly so she could look at his shoulders to see if there were any signs of the scars. His tunic hide them and she settled back into a more comfortable position, leaning in her chair a little before she was up on her feet and moving across the hall was surprising speed considering she wasn't running. All experienced healers should how to move at speed with looking rushed at least that is what she was taught. She pinched a pitcher of juice and a three mugs of klah before heading over, turning in an almost dance like fashion around other people before setting the jug and mugs down without spilling a drop. Then she just let herself drop heavily into her chair and picked up her mug of klah and sipped, only pausing to peer over the rim almost like a canine guarding its' food.

B'jin's mention of the lashes drew Par'a's eyebrows together, the day they had reinstated lashings had not been a kind one to them. Having seen the swathe of people flocking to B'jin's aid, Par'a had chosen instead to save her own skin and piece of mind and fled the scene. She hadn't even seen the fourth lash.

"Yeah, I remember." She murmured, casting her gaze into her basket, feeling Grith press mentally against her. Pell? She whimpered, sensing her rider's distress. 'I'm alright, love.' Par'a sent, trying to reassure her Green while she pushed the memories away. When silence was returned along their link she turned her attentions back to the two people before her, hopefully it meant Grith was distracted.

"Were you hiding under a rock? They were reinstated over a season ago, publicly." She said to Jazira, an eyebrow curving up in disbelief. Glancing back to B'jin as he continued to speak she laughed, she wasn't stupid. "Sponge baths and back massages hey? So who received and who gave?" She asked slyly, winking at her good friend as she pulled out some preserved fruit from her basket. Sucking the sugary coating off with a seductive gaze aimed at him she quickly ate the piece, proceeding to then lick her fingers slowly and individually.

A shrill screech brought Par'a out of her cheeky ways. "Grith!" She shouted, her face drawing together in irritation and anxiety. The closest set of doors shuddered, they had been closed to keep the light rain that had started out of the hall. "Keep the food! You sharding dragon!" The words echoed back to B'jin as she was on her feet and gone in seconds. Arriving at the doors she yanked them open, the short, plump woman radiating absolute fury.

"What did I tell you about buildings?" She shrieked at the small Green she was faced with. Grith's claws were sunken deep into the door, her eyes whirling yellow and white. You hurt! I have to protect you! Grith pleaded, her pained voice echoing through the minds of everyone nearby. "I am not hurt! I was remembering something!" Groaning she stepped forward, slapping Grith's shoulder and shooting her a dark glare before she set to removing the Green's claws from the door. Able to remove them quickly she led a very sulky Grith away from her latest attempt to ruin the Dining Hall.

B'jin was as shocked as Par'a by Jazira's apparent lack of knowledge about his lashing. There had been fliers all around the Weyr for seven days before hand, and just about the entire Weyr had shuffled out to see it occur. B'jin's nose scrunched at the memories and he shivered slightly. B'jin was not a fan of lashings! His previous experiences with them had left him ill prepared for the fury with which S'kef had delivered the twenty he had been assigned. He hadn't expected D'ren to hand out twenty, either. Five, maybe ten. Fifteen, max! But twenty! B'jin felt a shudder crawl down his spine and he tossed the memory aside, not wishing to dwell upon it.

"Wouldn't you like to know," B'jin teased, winking playfully at Par'a as she licked her fingers. A playful eyebrow wiggle was given just moments before Grith's screech echoed through the hall, and B'jin's brown eyes widened dramatically as he sought out Par'a's own. His features contorted into an unhappy frown as he watched Par'a dash off to take care of the green. B'jin grimaced unhappily as the woman screeched back at the distressed dragon, watching as she took her dragon and left. "Oh dear." B'jin murmured, none too happy with that particular turn of events. Poor Par'a.

Turning his attention back to the table he was sitting on, B'jin blinked at the leather and pieces he had sprawled around him. A quick flick of glance was shot at Jazira, then he ignored her as his attention was once more focused on the making of riding straps for Larrikith.

[sup]Haha, Kick. You're kinda meant to drop in, stay for a few posts, and then have your character leave xD.

Classes for the day had finally ended and Valerian decided instead of using the free time to rest like many of his classmates voiced their intent on doing, he’d grab his guitar and something light to snack on and go sit under his tree he shared with Erisi for a while. Veeth liked when breaks were used for music and poems and today seemed like the perfect day to give in to his passion. The plan was to forego any actual writing that day and instead just idly pluck at the strings to give his hands something to do while keeping them in practice and sing for his little blue’s enjoyment. Veeth had been well behaved in recent days and not getting into a huff over Charath or Hoth so he deserved the treat.

First he had to get the food so the trek from barracks to dining hall was made in the hopes of procuring some fruits and possibly meat rolls as well. On the way over the bluepair chatted about mundane things and how Veeth hoped to see Larrikith again soon. That was reason enough for Valerian to frown and he wondered if he’d be able to convince the green temptress of misbehaviour or her rider of leaving his dragonet alone for a while longer; at least until Veeth was old enough to have good morals instilled and wasn’t so easily led astray. He adored Larrikith but he wasn’t sure he wanted his own version of her attached to his mind forever.

As they reached the hall, Valerian watched Par’a remove Grith from the door, a scene that wasn’t as out of the ordinary as it once was. Memories of the first time he had seen that happen played in his mind as Valerian led Veeth inside once the greenpair had moved on. While he typically didn’t care who else was around, especially since he wasn’t staying, green eyes still glanced over the fairly empty room and stilled on a familiar figure. Why wasn’t he surprised to see B’jin there? Valerian explained the shift in plans, albeit only a brief one, and headed for where the greenrider sat on the table fiddling with something that looked rather boring.

“You have quite the affect on Grith it seems. She’s always running into doorways when you’re around. Gotta say, I’m glad you aren’t proddy this time, though; as amusing as it was until your admirers appeared.” Valerian shifted his guitar that he had slung over a shoulder and found himself pausing at his own words. “You aren’t proddy, are you?” B’jin seemed too calm and focused on his playing with leather to be in such a mood but Valerian wasn’t taking any chances and glanced down at Veeth. He was glad the blue was still so young.
