V’ler slid the paper he had been writing on previously back in front of him to show the musical bars and notes he had been adding. “A melody. I wanted to get it down before bringing out the guitar to fine tune it,” It wasn’t long, something simple so far that might work for a chorus of a song, but he wanted it in writing before it fled from his mind. Luckily he had most of it down before Indivara returned and stole his attention from his work.
He was just about to tidy up his desk that now seemed to be in chaotic disarray thanks to Indivara but her comment about children’s books stopped him and earned her a glare. He knew she was teasing, especially when she offered to draw pictures for it but V’ler deigned it not worthy enough to reply to and turned his attention back to tidying up.
Quill appeared when he had finished straightening up the stacks of paper once more and held out the rolled parchment. That was a rather quick trip, considering. He assumed Rhaedalyn would have to think about it or at least talk to R’nya. Maybe she wasn’t taking visitors, flitter or otherwise and Quill returned emptyhanded. V’ler took the paper and laughed when he unrolled it. The ‘YES’ was circled with several exclamation marks beside it. Well, that answered that. Under his note, though, was Rhaedalyn’s very feminine writing asking V’ler to come visit soon so they could discuss details, like when Indivara was due.
He held the paper up for Indivara to take if she wanted to read it again or for the first time if she hadn’t been paying all that much attention. V’ler gave Quill some affectionate pets and whisperings of doing his job well. Vex had woken up during his tidying up but was content to continue lazing on the desk, one eye open and observing everyone.
“Write down anything you want me to talk to her about and I’ll visit in the next few days.” He hadn’t seen Varlea in a little while either and owed her a visit. It’d be a good way to spend an afternoon, though he imagined R’nya would be in on the conversation as well and while V’ler didn’t dislike the man, he found him hard to read and it sometimes left the bluerider confused and uncomfortable.
