“You bring it down upon yourself, clearly,” Indivara replied, delighted by R’nd’s discomfort and overall reaction to her comment. She was caught somewhere between laughing at him, and doing her best not to laugh too much, because she was too curious about his stance on her relationship with V’ler, not to mention why he seemed to be the only person she’d come across who had anything to say about it. As far as she was aware, no one was aware of the actual change in their relationship? Primarily because everyone had been under the impression that they were mated for, well… how old was Varlea? Since about she was born. More or less?
Accepting the cup of hot drink, Indivara sipped it lazily and people watched, slightly irritated that the old man was delaying her discovery of R’nd’s inner-thoughts, but also rather too distracted by her own thoughts to glare at him or cause any trouble. Her thoughts faded away as R’nd offered her his arm, and she linked her own through it, walking beside him as he once more started off down the street, Indivara wondering mildly where they were going, though she realised easily enough that her fellow bluerider had no real destination in mind by the way he seemed to randomly choose a street to walk down when they got to a cross section.
Indivara had a mouthful of hot chocolate when R’nd made his comment about amazing sex and smirked at her, and she had to work rather had not to spit the delicious drink out as she tried to breathe it instead of swallowing. Indivara glared at R’nd in irritation, but couldn’t prevent the hot flush that coloured her face at his insinuations – which also brought forth the rather uncomfortable thought, had R’nd slept with V’ler? – Scrunching her nose up, Indivara decided she did not want to know. She knew (on some deep, bashed into a crevice level) that V’ler had slept with B’jin, and pretty much everyone that rode a green, and most of the people that rode blue, and probably a good portion of those on brown. Thanks to Veeth and his desire to make every female dragon in existence feel desired. But she didn’t think he’d slept with R’nd. Which was good, because the man was as good as her brother and that was just nasty.
Shaking off those thoughts before they got too stuck in her brain, Indivara settled for looking up at R’nd curiously, head tilted slightly to one side and blush finally managing to fade away a little, though it was still quite apparent. “How do you know?” No one else seemed to, and certainly while R’vi was a blabber mouth, she didn’t think he’d told anyone about their conversation so long ago about Venseth not chasing and her believing it was her lack of appetite… So why was R’nd so damned special?
