R'dare was appalled at N'mor's suggestion that he'd make a cute couple with J'ver. What at all would imply such a thing? But as his friend continued speaking, R'dare wondered if he was more shocked at how much N'mor seemed to know on the subject. Maybe he had already had an encounter with the greenrider and had kept mum on it? Not likely, considering their earlier conversations and how everyone always shared who won certain green flights whether because they were desired or to be avoided.
"Well, luckily for me, J'ver doesn't have a lot of interest in blues. From what I hear, he prefers something a bit shinier." In fact, some whispered that J'ver was responsible for getting the bronzeriders back into power. He didn't know the particulars but it sounded like something the slimy green would do if it served himself well enough and kept him in a safe and elevated status.
"You know way too much about that pair, but yeah, I remember it always seemed to be the same few that would win her," the bond with a dragon made a man do strange things and R'dare couldn't fault the blueriders that encouraged or let their dragons chase Rilaleeyth or others if it made them happy despite who they might be bonded to. But he didn't think there was much that would shake up someone like D'hys and he knew how protective he was of Zeianth as the 'brats were never allowed to paint him or bother him.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt to get V'ler's lists of who to do and who to avoid but I don't really mind who he chases. Actually, maybe I need to know who to avoid when we lose," R'dare set down his cup and rolled up his right sleeve. It was starting to fade but a hand shaped bruise could still be seen on his upper arm thanks to a brownrider that either hated losing or just didn't understand what a gentle touch meant. He didn't offer any further explanation as he rolled it back down and picked up his glass again to resume his sipping.
