V’ler smirked at the random actions he was given, not at all mad at the punch or kick since they were both light and done playfully. Indivara spent far too much time invading and taking over his space for him to not know her moods and when he was in the clear or about to end up with a nasty bruise. Now, however, he had to figure out where to lead the search that he still wasn’t entirely confident in either. In truth, he wasn’t sure what they would find and what he wanted them to find. Perhaps the remnants of a site would be located but it’d be hard to say who it belonged to unless they carved their names in a tree or left some telling mark. What would Indivara’s reaction be to anything they did or didn’t find?
Given her mom was greenrider, V’ler suspected she wouldn’t have been able to claim a prime location for the exiled home but forced to look further in and perhaps facing the west to have the sunset and not sunrise to work with. It wasn’t much to go on – nothing for this hunt was – but it was a good enough hunch, especially when coupled with the waterways theory. “That way,” he pointed west and towards a general area that seemed as good as any.
I don’t know why you want people to think you’re prickly and mean. You’re so kind! V’ler snorted at Veeth, giving the dragon an amused glance. I am mean. I speak truths no one wants to hear and ignore people that are a waste of my time. Just sometimes I find one or two that aren’t and can handle what they hear.
Mounting back up, V’ler patted his sweet dragon on the neck and still wondered how they ended up together. They could be so different yet somehow got along so well. You do that with a lot of people, V’ler ignored what was close to becoming a pep talk and turned his attentions back to the search at hand, encouraging Veeth to take off. “There’s more than enough of the day left for us to do a fair bit of exploring.”
