Indivara answered V’ler’s casual reply with a dirty look before turning all her attention purposefully upon Veeth as he greeted her, a genuine smile on her lips for the sweet blue. The fact that she did not believe a word of the compliment was completely irrelevant, and Indivara had long since trying to get Veeth to quit giving her compliments or to impress upon him the fact that she was, frankly, incapable of taking the words as truth. In the end, she had given up, accepting that, if nothing else, saying such things made Veeth happy and he was a sweet dragon that deserved all the happiness he could find – especially since he had been queer enough to Impress to V’ler!
A sly smirk twisted her lips at that thought, and behind her, Venseth dramatically and with great show, his eyes flashing amusement and exasperation both, but he nudged the girl affectionately in the back when she turned to him and slapped playfully at his nose, a gentle rumble more of a purr vibrating through the young blue dragon’s chest. What does that say of me, dearest? Indivara just tossed the dragon a wink.
“I thought that was Ven’s job,” Indivara drawled, moving closer to V’ler so she could lean against Veeth’s neck, lifting her eyebrows expectantly at her companion. Indeed, Venseth had been a major factor in, if not cooling Indivara’s rather spitfire personality, at least re-routing it to areas that were somewhat more constructive. Rumbling a soft laugh at the comment, Venseth shifted around so he could flop down beside Veeth, cuddling up to his friend comfortably and with little regard for whether or not the pair of humans intended for a lengthy visiting session.
It is one I take very seriously, Venseth inserted cheerfully, lifting his head so he could see both human’s from where he was on the other side of Veeth. We are not causing any trouble. His eye focused more solidly on V’ler. Did you truly think we were? He was quite sure it was an excuse, but he could feel Indivara’s vague irritation at being accused of something she hadn’t and wasn’t doing just under the surface. Better to burst that brewing storm before it got too big!
