All the flailing had left R’nd a bit wet as well and he wiped away his hair from his face and gave a perplexed look to the blue pair. That wasn’t the reaction he had expected but he supposed he had, in a way, snuck up on them in an otherwise private moment. “I prefer my name purred with a rolling ‘R’, not stuttered,” R’nd replied with a small smile, completely done out of habit for naturally being flirty. The situation didn’t seem dire so his mind worked on its own and latched onto something familiar that he could deal with. He was still a bit worried though since T’bia’s face seemed a bit red and the boy had obviously been rattled. Perhaps he had just spent too much time in the water and nearly fainted? Either way, he seemed a bit more pulled together and R’nd let it go for the moment, especially since T’bia had beaten him to being the one to ask questions.
“I am and it is far too early with the time I ended up falling asleep at,” R’nd laughed with a shake of his head. T’bia didn’t need to know all of the details so R’nd left it as was and didn’t state anything further on his evening activities. He lowered himself into the water and sat close to T’bia, mostly because they were friends and sitting near each other was normal but also because sharp eyes wanted to check over his friend one more time. “But I’m up, thanks to quite a bit of liquid assistance, and thought I’d start the day with a long soak.”
His eyes searched T’bia’s face more than anything else, having noticed the flush and red eyes. The flush was likely from the heat and eyes from the crying he had heard but R’nd was still concerned. “What about you? Are you well, T’bia? I didn’t mean to startle either of you with my arrival. I apologise for that.”
