R’nd gave an honest and joyful laugh at T’bia’s reassurance and grinned at his friend. “Well, I’m glad you don’t think I’m too odd. I don’t mind being a bit odd though,” he leaned in, eyes twinkling with delightful mischief as he whispered, “it adds to my charm and appeal.” With a softer chuckle, R’nd sat back again and sank a bit lower in the water so it was up to his chin. He’d get around to actually washing eventually but it was nice to simply enjoy the heat soaking through his muscles and working away any negativity and stress he may have been carrying without realising it. The fact that he had a friend there with him was an added bonus and R’nd was already counting the day as off to a great start.
“You know you can always come to me for anything whenever you need me, right? Even if I am odd? Although, I think we should really change that to ‘unique’, don’t you think?” R’nd asked after a moment, glancing back at T’bia. The poor kid was likely going to cramp up if he continued to hug his knees like that so much! R’nd was tempted to reach out and pull his feet to straighten him up again but resisted. He had teased him about the crush – even if accidentally – and that was enough for now, or even the full day. Still, he wanted to make sure T’bia knew he had a trusted friend to turn to regardless of situation or the time. R’nd knew he wasn’t an expert in all areas of life but he would do his best to assist T’bia even if that meant asking around for answers himself.
