N'del took a sip from his glass, watching the other man mull over his question. He dipped his head in an agreeable nod at K'tir answer. It was a wait and see answer, but that was probably for the best. He wasn't sure what S'kef had planned for the return North. It was going to be a tricky transition for Weyr and Hold alike. Some would be eager to have the chance to become dragonriders, but he doubted the main holds would appreciate having to tithe to a Weyr again, unless S'kef had some other solution in mind.
"I'm not sure. I don't have any reason to go back, and the thought of moving again doesn't sound all that appealing. Emeryth is happy here and Katila is as good a place as any for an old Greenrider." He raised his glass to his lips. "Suppose I'll visit at some point. Maybe see if any of my family are still alive." His daughters would both be in their forties by now, if they were still alive. It was a bit strange to think he likely had grandchildren back North, relations he'd never even met and likely had no idea that he was even alive. "How about you. Any family up North?"
