D’hys enjoyed running around the Weyr, along the lakeshore, and even along the river on most any day but that day saw him lazily strolling through the forest. It was still exercise and he could explore the area, keeping an eye out for any edible berries he could use in a bread recipe his mother had taught him so long ago as well as watch the people milling around the river. B’jin’s grumpiness could be seen and felt across the Weyr, D’hys was sure of it, once he spotted the greenrider. B’jin was the most social of men, even with R’nd glued to his side, but D’hys could tell something was different that day, especially when the shirt was finally removed and tossed aside. With a snort of amusement, D’hys waited a moment and then snatched up the shirt, following silently behind B’jin.
“I know; it’s why I’m holding it and about to offer it to you,” really, some greenriders didn’t have two braincells to rub together. It was a wonder that so many survived for so long. Then again, one quick glance and it was obvious B’jin was proddy and his dragon was about to fly at any moment so even if the man had intelligence on the best of days, he was a lost cause in that moment. A flight with B’jin sounded like the perfect way to pass some time and rub R’nd’s nose in it as well. His fellow bluerider didn’t seem to be near and he would likely kick himself for days for not paying attention to when his mate’s dragon was due to rise. It was the perfect opportunity for some fun, though D’hys would have preferred to seduce the greenrider into bed while he wasn’t drunk on flight lust. Then again, there would be plenty of opportunities after he won to get B’jin alone again.
“Do you like what you see? You seem to be taking your time admiring everything,” D’hys spoke in a lazy drawl as he closed the gap between him and his prey. The shirt was held out as a peace offering to lull B’jin into a false sense of security. He was only an innocent bluerider kindly returning what was dropped; he certainly wasn’t trying to take advantage of the situation and win the flight before it really even got off the ground. She will rise soon. Zeianth stood not too far away, poised and ready to take off as soon as Larrikith did. He didn’t chase often but some were always too enticing to resist. Larrikith had settled down now and seemed content with Ayyonth and that alone piqued Zeianth’s interest enough to agree with D’hys that this was a flight they needed to enter and win. The green pair was a rare treat now and both D’hys and Zeianth wanted a taste.
