Amorandii’s parting words left R’nd staring at the little girl. How much did she know about them? Was B’jin going to lecture him on behaving near the children and in public? Had B’jin even heard through all the giggling he was doing?
“And you’re full of the giggles today,” R’nd replied, torn between smiling and pouting. He knew he was being laughed at for having to work his way through that ridiculous song and dance but he couldn’t get enough of B’jin’s laughter. His giggle fits were absolutely adorable and even contagious. It was likely why the pout didn’t last long and a grin appeared the more that B’jin giggled. Why was the main so perfect in every way? Thankfully, he wasn’t too far caught up in his admiration that R’nd managed to keep from sighing like a love struck girl. He’d never live it down if he did!
Without a word, R’nd offered to carry some of the loot by stepping in close to his lover and picking through the items for what looked like it was in danger of falling. Despite the momentary fear of being lectured about public displays of affection, R’nd gave B’jin a lingering kiss, stepping away with a smile. “This wasn’t too bad of a party, my giggling love.” In fact, R’nd felt he could say he actually enjoyed it. It wasn’t something he wanted to do daily or even monthly but it hadn’t been as horrifying as he had built it up to be in his head.
As they started to head for Amorandii’s room for the brief stop of ditching gifts and treats before continuing on, R’nd couldn’t help the grin that turned into a light laugh of his own. He really had been confused over so many things during that silly dance but it was now a mode of inspiration. “Would you like to learn the rules to my version of the Hokey Pokey?” An eyebrow cocked in invitation and R’nd hoped it was accepted.
Spending the rest of the day in B’jin’s company would be one of the best gifts he could receive. It didn’t matter that the greenrider had no idea it was his birthday and that made it all the more special in R’nd’s mind. B’jin would want to spend time with him simply because he wanted to with no other reason needed.
