The tiny green - for she was tiny, it was revealed when K'ton reluctantly freed her - chirrupped softly at him, and the hunger washing over him was tinged with a gentle, cautious presence. Had she done something to upset him? She chirped again, even softer, looking for meat in his fingers.
While the tiny, pale green was exploring his hands for food, the Tubers egg cracked open, and a sassy bright spring green squeaked loudly, a chunk of egg goo stuck to her wings. She mock-growled, huffing as she crawled towards the egg. Her irritation manifested as her tail whacked into the Redfruit egg; it stopped moving, showing itself to be empty of anything but goo and shards of shell. The green growled again, her tiny paws scrabbling to get up to Quenym as she demanded he feed her.
Casa sighed sadly at the empty egg but beamed at the little green staring up at Quenym, almost angry and definitely trying to sass him around. It made her giggle. She saw K'ton struggling to accept the quiet green who was trying to bond to him, and hoped he would adjust. She seemed so...peaceful and calm, which was unusual for a green. It might be a good way to convince him they weren't pure evil.
Her eyes were drawn back to the eggs as two eggs, the Fellis Tree and Marshberry cracked together, breaking both shells. From the Fellis fell a weakened little bronze; the other revealed a healthy chocolate brown firelizard. After a soft, sad sound, the bronze wobbled up and vanished between. Casa gasped, sad to see it go. Why had it done that? She was sure someone here would want it...as she was trying to figure it out, a solid trill caught her attention as the brown reached up to butt her hand, and she could feel its deep hunger echo in her mind.
She took up the little brown, the bronze sadly fading away she stuffed several chunks of meat into the beast's maw. It chirruped happily, a sort of gurgling sound around the meat, and she smiled then; even at the loss of the bronze, this fellow was plenty happy, and her favorite color to boot. "Hi there, little Knack," she murmured.
