"I uh.. Not exactly," he answered Flora as she asked if he'd come to see the hatching. Of course he hadn't! Firelizards were pests and a menace, cute though they were. They were always into everything. Some of them barely even trained and they stole! He'd begun to back away again when Casa's voice rang through. He cringed as she insisted he stay and only rubbed it in when suggesting Ironth would stay.
A sounding crack stilled the words that he had thought to voice and his cringe deepened into a full body wince. Damn it! He hadn't been fast enough. He sighed with relief when a little blue latched onto the young girl next to him. His relief was short lived as a head popped out from the other. A tiny green head. A head that looked at him and begun to cry. "Shit," he muttered.Don't just sit there! Feed her!
Ironth's words got him moving and gripping his tray hard between his hands he shuffled forwards. You need meats, K'ton Well no kidding Ironth. I know that much, he bit back. With a quiet clang K'ton set him tray to the table and grabbed up some meats. Turning to the crying little green he stuffed the portion in her mouth, effectively quieting her. Which was a good thing because her terrible cries were grating.
