She found herself snuggled contently up under his arm, the two of them curled around each other like firelizards sunning on a cliff. As he began his story, she smiled softly, eyes blinking as they struggled to stay open. Two weyrbrats, having grand adventures? She liked the sound of that. It reminded her a whole lot of them. This made her laugh for some reason, and she snort-giggled against his side, unable to stop once she started.
It eventually subsided when he got to the part about the two of them Impressing dragons. She blinked sleepily, more wine pouring into her mouth, nodding at the appropriate moments. Those two would have such grand adventures she thought. She could imagine it now - soaring through the air, the two dragons chatting away as they raced against the clouds themselves, sunlight glinting off their beautiful hides...
She found herself no longer resisting the urge as her eyes closed, her fingers laced through Quenym's. Her mind filled with adventures of claiming mountains and floating above oceans, the song of dragons everywhere. She fell asleep, curling around Quenym with a soft happy sigh, the wine skin sliding to the ground where it sat empty beside them. This was the best afternoon she could have possibly imagined, she reasoned, before her mind drifted away.
