As she followed the older boy (whom she admired a bit, having seen him be so confident and mischievous) through the woods, her vision a little blurry around the edges but her spirits high, she noticed how exploratory this outing seem. Ryvian was expertly crossing rivers and guiding her through the forest. He was obviously a pro at finding his way here. She emulated him as best she could, being careful when she almost fell crossing the log.
Once they reached the spot, she stopped in her tracks and gaped. It was a lovely little place in the woods! It was secluded but simple; the river ran through, the trees shaded a lovely sitting section, and the sun dappled through the trees. "Oh Ryvian, this is awesome!" she said, all but bouncing on the balls of her feet. She dashed forward, tilting slightly to one forward, before sitting down with a grin.
She was excited to see what he had in mind. He was one of the more creative troublemakers in the weyr; he(they) came with a reputation all his own. She had seen him and his twin - or his twin and him - with the Indivara girl, and occasionally other older Candidates and brats. Adult adventures were much different than the pranks of the youngsters, but she imagined the twins had created trouble when they were her age. All kids got bored. It was a fact of life. So she was excited to see what sort of ideas he could impart with her. Or if he would start teaching her what the older kids did.
After a couple moments of just resting here, a firelizard popped in, and she gasped in delight. She loved these little buggers! She didn't understand how some people seemed to hate them. She stared up at him dreamily, watching him settle down as well. "Oh, he's lovely! I'd love to have one, they seem beautiful. What is his name?"
