Maybe he shouldn’t have encouraged the drinking of the wine, even with it watered down. He could just imagine the flak he’d get from his friends when they heard he got Casa drunk and led her off to a secluded area. It wasn’t like he really had a strong defence either. Ryvian had thought it was a fun idea to introduce the girl to alcohol since he was about her age when he snuck in drinks with Nyvian so it was a rite of passage or something! He also wasn’t sure what kind of mischief they could get up to together so loitering around a pleasant area of the forest seemed like the best option.
“I’m full of great ideas, Casa,” Ryvian replied as he strolled across a trunk of a long dead and fallen over tree, over exaggerating the need to keep his arms out for balance simply for an extra show. Walking could be so boring so something had to be done to spice things up a bit! Unfortunately the log wasn’t long enough to cover the entire walk and Ryvian found himself meandering along on the ground beside Casa for most of the journey though Tryst kept appearing to circle around them before vanishing again and repeating the stunt so it wasn’t entirely mundane.
They reached the little clearing in no time at all though and Ryvian waved his arms around in a grand gesture of reveal. “Ta-da!” It wasn’t all that grand considering some of the other places in the area but it was quiet, had sun, shade, a river, and it wasn’t too popular. Most people had dragons or friends and lovers with dragons that could take them to the further out locations like the lake so little areas such as this were often overlooked.
Now he just had to figure out what to do to keep the girl entertained. Ryvian wasn’t entirely convinced lazing in the sun would be enough for her, especially while tipsy. He’d find out soon enough, no doubt! When Tryst appeared again, Ryvian patted his shoulder and the blue firelizard settled himself in, head peering in one direction and then other as if looking for their friends or something to do. Great; now he had two he had to keep entertained!
