It had been a fairly uneventful day for N'kal, not quite so much for Torath who had spent his morning lounging in the creche playing with the children there. N'kal had watched from afar, amused that his bonded was so fond of the littlest things. He had no idea how such a large dragon as Torath could manage to actually 'play' with children, who were far more breakable then adults, but he did, and he did so very carefully. He hadn't noticed any anxiety in the air that say, had he, he would most definitely have gone hunting with Torath rather then having spent the morning in its entirety watching children climb all over his dragon, clinging to his snout and tail while he wiggled about, giving them a 'ride'. He was completely covered in sand and would require a bath soon to clean off said sand and whatever else the kids had attacked him with. He was fond of children himself, but he hadn't been in the mood for whatever reason and had instead shared a cup of klah with another rider whose green had joined in the fun of playing with children. Around lunch time the children were called for a meal and N'kal and Torath both said a farewell to their companions and headed for the lake to get cleaned off.
The rest of their day was spent at the lake, bathing and just relaxing in the water before they both laid out on the sands to enjoy the sun. It was late in the afternoon when N'kal felt the first stirring in his mind from Torath who went from dozing to being restless, almost instantly. His wings had been spread out beside him, N'kal had been laid out shirtless against his neck, dozing as well. When Torath stirred he braced himself for the move but hadn't expected his head and neck to come up so quickly and had doubled over and fell into one of Torath's back spines, luckily he was fast enough to cling to it, preventing himself from a nasty fall. 'Damn it Torath!! What in the name of the Egg is wrong!?', N'kal fussed at him sharply, moments before he felt the heat of lust rise within him, through Torath. Torath, again forgetting N'kal was on his back rumbled so deeply N'kal could feel it vibrate along his spine and through his own body. 'No!', he commanded, sternly as he pulled himself all the way back up onto the bronze. She will fly...beautiful Okalinath..., he rumbled back at N'kal, blatantly ignoring his commanding tone. With his rider still unsecured on his back he folded his wings against his body and started walking toward the weyr, lust rising within him, and, in turn, in N'kal, who gave a groan and a bit of a shudder. 'Damn you Torath! No! We do NOT fly golds!!', he tried again and Torath stopped, swinging his head around, one wildly swirling orange and red. He considered his bonded for several long moments as the lust within him rolled and boiled in his blood.
It has been too long...I want this flight, I want her., he wasn't asking, he was informing, N'kal could either come along for the ride, or stay behind. N'kal could feel Torath's wanting for the gold, he should have known better then to let him hang around her. He knew her rider, she was a quiet little thing, meek and afraid of the world around her. He wasn't even sure he found her all that attractive, not to mention she had to be half his age! However at that moment Torath was on the move again as lust washed over him again, and clinging to Torath's back was all he could do before he leaned forward and rested his forehead against the moving neck of his dragon. 'Damnit Torath! At least take me home first!', Torath roared and before N'kal could properly get situated he was in the air and flying at top speed for the huts, where he heavily landed, jarring the hell out of N'kal, long enough for N'kal to half climb and half fall off his back, landing on the ground outside his hut with a thud, knocking the wind from him for a few minutes before he was able to get up again. He hated flight lust with a damn passion! Most likely he would get beat out by one of the other bronzes and he would end up waking next to some damn green riding male he would have to beat off him. He hated flights...hated them with every fiber of his being.
The sun was just starting to leave the sky when they heard Okalinath shriek to the sky. Torath's head swung around to look at N'kal again, his rider, trembling between rage and lust, normally would have amused the bronze. Tonight however he decided it would be their night to shine, to fly together and to catch the young gold and her rider. Tonight is our night N'kal, tonight we fly! 'What am I to do with that girl should you catch her dragon you ruddy beast!', he fired back as Torath bellowed an echoing roar and heaved himself into the sky. Somehow I doubt you need me to answer that., the faintest touch of amusement hung in the bronze's words, then he was climbing higher and higher into the sky. Smart ass dragon was a smart ass...N'kal would get him back for that if he remembered it tomorrow. When Okalinath rose toward the dimming sky both N'kal and Torath followed her movements and with another roar Torath beat his wings furiously, rising behind her. I come for you beautiful Okalinath!, he challenged her as he rose higher in the air, while N'kal below shoved himself away from his hut, lust driving him to find the gold rider who he may or may not wake up with in the morning.
