2023/08/04 Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! B'jin was oblivious to the world, but he was standing still now, swaying slightly before the Weyrleader. Larrikith was domeneering his mind, the warm flash of sunlight oon a wing, the possessive growl of a dragon who thought he had a right to her body, the whimsical voice of a bronze. Larrikith screeched again, challenging them all, and in the Dining Hall, B'jin's eyes flashed the challenge, while his lips twisted into a cocky smile as he at the Weyrleader with a wash of emotions the rider never ever would have dreamed of bestowing upon a man he highly regarded.

"B'jin!" The harsh sound of D'ren's insistant usage of his name caused the rider in question to shudder visibly, and he gulped in a massive breath, feeling very much like he'd just been dunked by a rather large bucket of water - which, given his current state, probably would have been a good idea - and stared at D'ren with huge eyes. Barely a moment passed, and he lifted his arms and gave the Weyrleader a solid shove in the chest, intent on sending the stockier man stumbling away from him, a hiss of challenge, or success, following. Before the entire motion was even completed, however, he was lost and his arms dropped to his side quickly, and his body went lax as Larrikith claimed his mind. They were one, and undeniable lust flashed across B'jin's face and resided deep in his brown eyes.

Larrikith shrieked again, shooting up into the air from where she had been sunning herself outside the Hall. Her gorgeous mossy coat shone brighter than any gold could dream of, naturally, and her lieth and light figure easily sped between those few that had come in to see what was going on and not landed yet. She barely paid them a mind as she aimed for the clouds like a lusty green arrow, and vanished into a thick clump. Her bugle of challenge issued out of it, muffled, before she shot off to the left, banking hard and streaking through the bright morning sunlight.

N'gelt was an early riser, if only to kick last night's conquest out of his hut or to leave theirs. This morning he had no conquest and was in his own bed, alone. Irritated by this fact he got up, making his way outside to the raised platform where Saquith slept. The Brown dragon was sitting bolt upright, his eyes whirling a faint pink. N'gelt peered up at his dragon, frowning. 'What's the matter big boy?' Saquith didn't reply, instead offering a chesty rumble. His rider frowned for a moment then shrugged. Giving the dragon a hearty slap on the shoulder he turned on his heel and strode off, wondering what was being served at breakfast.

With his hut on the opposite side of the Weyr, by the time he had arrived there all the excitement inside the DIning Hall was well underway. He paused part way through the Gather Square, frowning at the waggling green dragon behind that was taking up the entrance. "Sharding Greens. Always doing stupid things!" He muttered to himself, wondering how he was going to get food now. There was no way he was going to crawl beneath that thing. Perhaps there would still be some food in the kitchens he could have. Altering his course he took a step forward before he halted again, a chilling screech filling the air. He didn't need to look up to know that another of the Green menaces was glowing her tail off.

'You want to chase her.' N'gelt sent. There was no need to ask, it easily explained Saquith's statue pose when he had woken. …May I? Came his soft wispy voice, lathered with submission. N'gelt resisted the urge to flat out tell him no, he knew that Saquith would obey unquestionably. It had been a while since the Brown had chased, a few weeks was it? Given that he was constantly scratching that itch, he relented that this time his dragon should be allowed. To try anyway.

'Yes. Who is it?' N'gelt relented. Thank-you. It is Larrikith. He felt his dragon's lust seeping in at the edges of his mind as he cast back. Larrikith… Larrikith… B… B… Well, her rider was certainly a male. His name is B'jin. Saquith supplied, pride tinging his voice. N'gelt nodded, at least if he was going to potentially share a bed with one of them it was going to be a man.

Now all he had to do was… find out where the hell this stupid Green's rider was. Little did he know how hard that would be.

R’nd was having the most wonderful dream involving him and two others frolicking in the pool below a gentle waterfall when something tugged at his mind, trying to release him from such beauty and euphoria. He grumbled at the disturbance and gave a low growl when a dragon’s shriek finally cut through his determination to stay in his dream world for a little longer. R’nd! Of course he now had his blue, Ayyonth, joining in on the effort to wake him. Could this day start off any worse? Leave me be, Ayyonth. I’m sleeping. At least that was what he still wanted to be doing, anyway!

But you heard, didn’t you? Larrikith is flying!

In his barely conscious mind, the name and all the words surrounding it meant nothing to R’nd and he rolled over, burying himself under the sheets as if that would block out all of the external and internal noises. Wait, had a green taken flight? Did they have no concept of time? Don’t chase her. Even I need to get some sleep sometimes. Sleep had been lacking that sevenday with the amount of action he had seen both doing exercises with Ayyonth or finding new and creative ways to exercise riders and weyrfolk alike. Last night had been no different though he had parted ways with that lover at a somewhat early, in his books, time.

R’nd, would you wake up and listen to me? Ayyonth was getting annoyed at being ignored, a trait R’nd blamed on Kerrin and the amount of time the brat spent with the dragon. But Ayyonth knew his mate well and knew he wouldn’t hear the end of the pouting that would come if he missed out on this attempt at Larrikith taking to the sky. Larrikith is flying. Did you forget who her rider is? B’jin! You know, the man you have been pining after for as long as you have known him? The man you somehow manage to pretend you don’t want on a normal day when you’re talking to him? Ayyonth continued speaking but it had turned more into a mumbling about silly human emotions and traditions, not that R’nd was listening now anyway.

Larrikith was flying. His mind was beginning to clear and catch up with what was going on and R’nd sat up, eyes wide as he felt Ayyonth’s lust already creeping in on him, mingling with his own building desires. Then chase her! He didn’t have time to argue with his dragon and really didn’t even have time to find his clothes as he slept in the nude, though he knew from experience streaking didn’t please everyone, even if the nude body in question was his. But as he tried to rise from his bed, R’nd ended up falling to the floor, tangled as he was in the bedding. After a quick shimmying to free himself, the dance of pulling on pants while trying to walk led him through his hut and out the door.

Where would B’jin be at this early hour? He sent a plea to his blue to ask around for his location and took off in an ungraceful stride toward the Dining Hall not only because it made sense for a man to go there shortly after rising but it sounded far more lively in that general area than usual at such an hour.

D'ren didn't know what to make of the indignant shove B'jin gave him, followed of course by a hiss. D'ren narrowed his eyes at the man for a moment, stumbling back primarily out of surprise, when suddenly he heard the shriek.

Was he too busy worrying about Grith destroying the dining room the realize what was happening? Suddenly, he felt very foolish.

Ronarth! he said suddenly, spinning on his heels and narrowing his eyes at the bronze. Ronarth perched nearby, tracing Larrikith's motions with his shimmering blue eyes. Ronarth, don't you dare! D'ren said firmly. He was so taken aback by the situation that his words didn't carry their usual weight. Ronarth, after all, had flown several golds, but never once a green. He'd never so much as batted an eye at them. They were too small.

I don't want to fly her Ronarth said, lapsing out of his previous daze as he realized who exactly he'd been fawning over. Larrikith was a good friend to him. She was one of the few greens who responded well to his attempts to befriend her. Lazily, the bronze fanned his great wings out and allowed the breeze to catch them. He leapt from his perch and rose slowly, his sturdy body slowly gaining momentum as he pursued.

D'ren was scandalized. What do you mean you don't want to fly her?! Why the shards are you FOLLOWING her? he demanded, pacing after B'jin out of instinct (and not even quite realizing he was doing it). LAND, Ronarth. Right now.

But D'ren! Ronarth protested, using his great size and strength to gain speed. He was following the pack halfheartedly, though his great muscles stood ready to launch into the fray at any moment. I want her to get more attention! If I chase her, the other females will be jealous and the other males will want her as well. Don't you see? he preened. D'ren narrowed his eyes at the bronze. Ronarth....! he warned, his mental tone promising to become truly dangerous if Ronarth made a serious bid.

As far as he could tell, though. Ronarth was being honest...he only flew to inspire others to join. After all, if the Weyrleader's bronze was interested in Larrikith, she must be the best green ever, right? Ronarth was endlessly mirthful over his foolproof plan.

I’shan of Blue Ilveriath

Ooh….I remember this one

Ilveriath’s words came out in a long, sensual purr. The blue rested in his hollow, tail swishing eagerly as his wedge-shaped head angled towards the gather square. Her shrieks sent a shiver down the sensual blue’s lithe body, his chest heaving already with bubbling anticipation. Would it please you to fly with me?

I’shan emerged from his hut, his eyes still hanging sleepily. “Hmm? Oh…” the rider gasped airily, clutching his heart as he looked skyward. What a lovely green beauty! He could sense Ilveriath’s eagerness as they stood there, eyes skyward and hearts accelerating.

I’shan closed his eyes and smiled. He could practically feel himself flotingh skyward already. Flights were worth it, if only to feel that rushing sensation. “Yes, Ilveriath…It would please me as always,” he said in a sultry tone, as if already presented with his prize.

Ilveriath’s wings fanned out and he took flight question, sinuous blue body cutting through the wind like an arrow. Larrikith… he sighed amorously as he surged forward, eyes blazing in sensual purples and reds. I accept your challenge!

On the ground, I’shan quickly hopped into some boots and took off in search of his prize, or at least his fellow suitors. He sprinted, his lithe body moving nimbly through the huts as he searched. He’d had B’jin of Larrikith before...and what a pleasant experience it was!

Larrikith shrieked, her biting vocal tone something between horror and pleasure as she peered over her shoulder at those that had take up her challenge, the blues, the browns -- and a bronze! Her entire body glowed with delight even as she screamed her challenge - for none of them were worthy of she!

Down on the ground, stumbling almost brainlessly, B'jin was being lead out of the Dining Hall and towards one of the Kitchenworker's sleeping quarters by a worker, who looked less than excited and more than a little put out by the man and his following of merry men. Feeling himself shoved, B'jin stumbled into the room he'd been given and then stood in the centre blindly, finally letting go and revelling in the majestic flight Larrikith was already leading him on.

Wings flared, taking her gorgeous green body higher with little effort as an updraft was caught and spun along, the usually reserved flier taking the opportunity to show a more artful side, as her lithe body twisted elegantly and then with a hiss, Larrikith twisted, toppling over her own form backwards before falling like a rock through the pack of following dragons with a shriek of challenge, a hiss of amusement, as she dropped towards the ground, not watching as it came ever and ever closer. Almost at the last moment, Larrikith flared her wings out and skimmed along the ground like a vengeful shadow.

N'gelt stared at the Green as he approached, there seemed to be quite the effort going on around her to try and remove her from the door. As he neared she slid out, to which he turned his nose up in the air and swept forward arrogantly. Why he was heading into the Dining Room wasn't exactly clear, but it seemed to be the right thing to do. Once inside he glanced around, easily spotting B'jin being carted away by a worker, a small flock of riders following him with doe-eyes. N'gelt snorted and shook his head, but followed them to the sleeping quarters regardless.

Striding inside he shoved riders left and right, making it to B'jin in the center with ease. Thus far he still only felt the tinge of lust at the very edges of his mind, easily brushed away to a forgotten corner. Standing tall before B'jin he sneered, his thin lips twitching up into a cruel-looking smile. "You're mine, boy." He said quietly. It was only then that he relaxed his mind, allowing Saquith's lust to filter into his mind.

Saquith stood, content that his rider was finally in the right location and had reached it safely. Walking forward to an area where he could safely take off he turned his head skyward. Red eyes tracked the glowing Larrikith as she spun, flipped and dove. As she dropped low to the ground he leapt aloft, his powerful, wide wings bringing him level with the chase. Sweeping forward he drew level with the front of the pack, a deep rumble sounding in his chest.

I come for you, sweet Larrikith.

Sensing that his presence pleased Larrikith, Ronarth lurched forward.

You deserve the best, Larrikith Ronarth said cheerfully. He obviously wasn't taking the flight very seriously. He danced about, ever too far from the pack but never too close either, relying on his great strength to bring him back in line when he veered too far off course. His acrobatics were unnecessary and would have lost him a gold flight, but this was more a game.  He didn't honestly expect to actually outmaneuver his little blue and brown brothers, either. He just wanted to coax them to work, that was all!

He let out a joyous bellow as Larrikith dropped past him. He banked sharply and followed, sailing along at top speed, mirroring her movements without actually dropping lower to the ground. It was his favorite strategy in goldflights, but he was knew to the idea of chasing a green. Ronarth had amorous eyes only for gold, but Larrikith was worth playing the game.

On the ground, D'ren meandered his way into the room after B'jin, bleary from the flight and under the guise of administration. He walked with stern purpose, his face already red and the hairs on his arms standing on end. He was well aware of what was going on, but he was trying hard not to think about it. Ronarth wasn't making an active effort to CATCH Larrikith, no..but the bronzerider still felt trwmors of flight lust coursing through him. For the time being, he was pretending like that wasn't the case.

"What the...shards is going on in here?" he demanded as he stumbled towards B'jin, brushing lightly past some brownrider as he did so. He set his eyes on B'jin and frowned. "Larrikith is causing a...huge fuss! What do you have to say for yourself?!"

I'shan moved quickly loping through the forest of huts like an eager gazelle. Show her to me, love he pleaded softly to his lifemate. Ilveriath, heart soaring as he set his bright eyes skyward, was happy to oblige. He flashed I'shan an image of the shrieking green set against the sky, her hide glossy and bright in Rukbat's warm rays. Larrikith I'shan thought, pausing and closing his eyes as he joined Ilveriath in the sky. His mind flew while his body caught it's breath, though the tinglings of flight lust were rampant within him.

He loved flights.

You've had her before I'shan warned as he opened his eyes, resuming his hunt. He remembered B'jin well. He liked the man and considered him a friend, though he knew enough about him to know that his dragon never mated with the same male twice. He wasn't going to count himself out, though. If any dragon could do it, it was Ilveriath.

It didn't take long for I'shan to find the hub of the activity. He saw B'jin being herded into a spare room while a rail of eager suitors followed. I'shan quickly joined them, heart thumping in anticipation. He ducked elegantly through the crowd and locked his eyes on B'jin, lingering eagerly near the front. "B'jin," he said softly, eyes widening with intrigue.

In the air, Ilveriath quickly set himself among the pursuers, his long wings moving in powerful, fluid strokes as he paced himself behind the green. He didn't bother with flowery words of love. He just pursued, heart and mind set on his goal. He ignored the other males as Larrikith dove past them, sending herself streaking to the ground. Ilveriath immediately angled himself after her, matching her maneuver with deftness, his light frame catching itself easily before striking the ground.

Instinct ended up guiding him more than Ayyonth, who brushed away the request anyway to focus on the chase that was heating up with dragon after dragon, including Ronarth, joining in. R'nd was among the first to arrive at the Dining Hall and while he had been tempted to crawl over or under Grith as she played entrance-blocker, they removed her before he finished his plan on the best possible way. It was a good thing, too, given the way he was losing himself in the chase and lust was taking over every other thought he tried to carry out.

Once he made it inside the room that B'jin had been ushered into. R'nd didn't have time to take in the competition or the prize as he was shoved aside by another rider entering the room with enough force that he stumbled a few steps but caught himself before face-planting. Well that was rude! There was no need to be uncivilized even while pursuing a green. R'nd frowned and then froze as he saw through Ayyonth's eyes as Larrikith did her awe-inspiring dive and casual rise back up while so close to the ground. That move was impressive but it wasn't enough to shake off a determined blue and Ayyonth worked to gain a lead over the pack until R'nd gasped at how close they were to winning the beautiful green.

With victory clearly in hand and his emotions soaring high as they combined with Ayyonth's until R'nd had no idea where he began or ended or even where he currently was as his mind was being pulled to the flight with Larrikith's graceful yet taunting actions before focusing in on B'jin, surrounded by all of the soon to be sorry riders.  One step and then another led him closer to claiming his prize and as he came up beside N'gelt, the brownrider was treated to a hard shove to remove him as the final obstacle, forgetting as he did so his thoughts of moments earlier of being civil. "No, mine."

As Ayyonth moved ever closer, about to make his final play to catch Larrikith, R'nd made his own move, hands lifting to cup B'jin's cheeks to pull him close until lips met lips in a heated, on his end at least, kiss that had him moaning deep in his throat.

They came, they followed, they watched and they wanted. Good! Larrikith snarled at a brown, who made a swipe at her and she twisted away, catching an updraft and shooting skywards once more, her eyes dark with lust as she found she had no desire to undergo a long flight. But that was not unusual and Larrikith was known for her shorter flights. Fly high, fly hard, and fly fast -- pick a winner before they were even aware of what was going on! She twisted, and spun under Ronarth with a daring move, letting her wingtips brush his as she streaked past the larger, heavier dragon. As she passed him, she twisted around, catching another draft that sent her flying backwards and she crashed bodily into the larger blue that had been following her tail. A deep rumble of displeasure was ended before it had a chance to begin, as necks entwined and she allowed the blue to dictate their flight.

"D'ren?" B'jin blinked, a shiver travelling his spine as he stared at his Weyrleader in surprise, the emotion overwhelming the flight lust for the moment and leaving the greenrider wondering what in Faranth's name D'ren was doing in the crowed that made up Larri's perusers - B'jin's eyes winded as he realised the bronze chasing her must be Ronarth and he backed away from D'ren hurriedly, and right into the brownrider the same time the man spoke. B'jin shifted his gaze from D'ren's own, to stare at N'gelt with disdain, a growl rumbling in his chest even as R'nd swept in, shoving N'gelt aside. Sanity, and worry, were thrown to the wind as the bluerider claimed him, and B'jin fought for a moment, arm muscles bunched to push against the younger man's chest, before he gave in, Larri's mind claiming his own once more. Standing taller, B'jin's arms slid up R'nd's chest to wrap around the taller man's neck, jerking his taller height down and making the bluerider's mouth much more accessible.

Welcome to the winner's circle.
